Shocks on a vintage gold pan

Post by clhuke64 »

Will the shocks off a Associated RC10GT RC10 GT2, fit a vintage gold pan ???
http://cgi.ebay.com/Associated-RC10-GT-GT2-Front-and-Rear-Aluminum-Shocks-/300409387604?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item45f1cb7a54

These are what I'm looking at.

Thanks again guys for the help !!

TBS makes great shocks, but they measure them by the total throw length (from center of top mount to center of bottom mount fully extended) by mm. You need to know what your total throw is going to be, because they don't measure by body size....

May I suggest:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Kyosho-Lazer-ZX-5-Aluminum-Threaded-Shock-Dampers-/150466861274?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item23088618da

you will only need to put a 4 mm spacer inside the shockbody of the rears, and they are cheaper.

here they are on project x.

Might have to change shock shaft to a shorter length

Hey Craig,
an RC car is ALOT easier to find when you lose it so hopefully your learning curve is an easy one

Todd,
You mean It wont get stuck 50" up a 100" oak tree, like my plane did last year (thought I had enough battery to make "just" one more go around !!!)
