How is it going everyone. Well im new here. I figured that I would show my old beater that I used to race way back when. I put it up when I found out what girls where It has the 48 pitch 6 gear tranny(I can't remember the brand gears I put in) also houges enterprises graphite chassis, along with their steering system. It had the houges trailing arms but I changed those back to factory RC10 rear arms. Excuse the crappyness of it I havn't really went into it yet. I just threw in some electrics just to see it move again.
Thanks for the compliments guy's. My car was definetly run hard. I have another that I am reassembling for a shelf queen. It's a old 6 gear gold tub as well.
Well, since it looks like it will be a while before any of my current projects are finished, I thought I'd post a pic to show off a few things I've been waiting for years to get my hands on. When it rains it pours. I managed to get my hands on two...

No? Well, I do have some magic beans. I might be able to trade those for a wing like that.
Seriously, if anybody sees another one, let me know. Now that I have the wheels, it's pretty much all that's left for an RC holy grail...
Wallered out, I believe that's the machinist's term. :-)
I gave my no-stamp chassis a good cleaning last night. What I found is the holes where the rear a-arm mounts....mount have worn themselves a bit out of round; maybe 1/32 on the wheels side...

I have an old runner that is like this, but when you tighten down the counter sunk screws it all lines up perfect back to normal. So just keep your screws tight!
Yes this problem happens when you run for very long times with loose chassis...
One of the reasons I dislike brushed stock motors is the non-rebuildable construction. I know an endbell can be popped off, but it doesn't usually go back on well or fit tight again. So I have a bunch of worn out motors that I'm thinking about...

Got this one a while ago. It's got some pretty cool pieces on it. Can anyone spot the one part that convinced me to buy it?
Anyway, the old owner said that he got this one in the first batch of RC10's shipped to Fantasy World Toys and Hobbies of...

Glad that helped. Let me know if you need any remeasurements. Very interested to see how those come out Dr. Robotnik!!
Recently got back into the hobby and decided to dust off my B2. After doing a lot of reading on here, I found out original B2 parts are rare. Since I will be actively using it, I procured the hard to find parts, in case I do break something. Already...

RC10th, you read my mind. I had shaved down the arm for the spacer to clear, but never tried it turned around to see if it would clear with the extra room. Swapped it around last night and it is all good. Clears the arm and no more binding.
Like so many others, after stumbling on this site it made me fall back in love with my long stored away old r/c cars. I started this hobby in the late 80's and have been on and off again with it ever since. In the past when I got the itch I just...
