Pictures when I get home from work tonight but, I dyed parts and started assembling last night. One question though:

What is the difference in the 6 gear motor mount plate and the stealth motor mount plate?

I'm going to put the six gear on there for now, dye the parts tonight. The motor I got for this build is 4900kv with a 2cell LiPo. You think this is too much until I find a stealth plate for my new tranny?

OK. I will look at it. However, the stealth unit itself looks like the bottom holes will not line up where the 6 gear mounted on the chassis plate...

3 of the 4 holes will line up, but you have to drill and tap the fourth.

probably should've drilled the new trans holes in the tub before having it powder coated, too.

Yeah. I'll see what I can do. Another question before I head home, with stealth guts fit in a 6 gear tranny case?

had a cigar. had a couple 10 beers and a second cigar, and decided the stealth is going in anyway. Going to New Era in the morning for a discussion.

Car is coming along, but I have noticed some things I have done wrong so far:

Ordered the wrong parts
rushing

I ordered the wrong front tower from Fibre-Lyte and have ordered the right one
ordered towers from eBay and now don't need them
waiting on screw kit and other parts

Looks like I will have plenty of parts for a second car though.....

Now some positives:

This car is BLACK. The carbon fiber and black dyed parts look fantastic. The Klein arms have a deep onyx like appearance to them. The JConcept wheels look sick as well.

Dying parts was a hit or miss at first for me. However, I found that keeping the hot plate on medium but not boilling, letting the parts sit for 5 minutes, dipping them in cool water for 2 minutes then repeating really got the parts the dark look I was looking for. I repeated the process 4 time for each part.

did you get the klein arms for the front and back? if you try to use them on the front with a buggy nose plate, the front end is gonna be VERY wide compared to the back.

scr8p, didn't you use a axle spacer? in the REAR so you could move the shocks to the last hole on the arms? I would recommend that.

i used kranzels wheel spacers (on top of the b4 wheel spacers) mainly to have more clearance at the outer shock mount so the wheel wouldn't hit the arm during race conditions. but it still wasn't enough to be able to use the outer shock mount hole without the tire hitting the shock. i could've spaced the rear out a little more, but i was already as wide as i could go on the front, and didn't want the rear wider than the front.

Yeah. I have changed my mind again after looking at it put together last night. I had to use spacers to keep the travel of the arms to a minimum. I have ordered the different nose plate and will continue on as originally planned.

I' m kind of a learn by error person.....

Received the GT nose today. Waiting on screw kit.. Have pictures, but picture computer stb.... Will work on that when I get home from camping trip this weekend....
