give me some suggestions on mid motor 2wd buggy lexan

Post by jwscab »

I'm building a hybrid car, B2/RC10-ish......flipped stealth for a mid motor set-up. I'm trying to figure out a good body to run on this thing, and want to base the chassis on the shape of the body if I can, for a couple reasons.

anyone have any good suggestions? I don't like how 'bloated' some of these 4wd buggies look right behind the front wheels, they look like a futuristic brick with wheels. (btw, we need a vomit smiley).

I'm thinking worse case I may go with a repop yoke protech body...

let me know what you think.......

I'd say the bolink funco one-seater, or maybe the plasma edge with a good trim on the front.
both mounted on my hybrid mid-moter thing: http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=10033
But I don't see much reason Davids yelow body in the same tread wouldn't work either.
As long as the cockpit is high and wide enough and situated near the rear shocktowr anything should fit.
The yokomo body 'd be too low at the back; unless youd on't mind to have the gearcover on the outside of the body

i had the same problem for my mid motor and decided before i bought to many bodies to see how they fit i'd try a protech. you will loose the back but i don't think it looks to bad. i wanted to try one of jay's rough rider bodies but decided i didn't want to hack one up

I have a Fasttrax YZ10 body in the BST area that would do nicely on a mid motor buggy. http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=16353&p=159477#p159477
