Actually I've always heard it was just the shortening of the patented "Free Floating Progressive Damping Suspension - FFPDS" FS would then be Free or Floating Suspension, basically what tiger1 said.

Where did you get the JG Mfg. ad? Nice work! Sure would be nice to have some sort of reference material for older JG products. I still have some JG items with ? marks as to there history.

It was in the back of a Competition Plus mag I used to read through as a youngster, and carloco (on this board) scanned the issue for me. I wish I still had the light blue paper JG product list I remember. Months after that ad, the RC10 came out, and so you'd expect JG then shifted focus away from anything Super Champ (or Scorpion) related.

Speaking of roll cages, does anyone know who makes this one? I have a Kyosho USA-1 Nitro Crusher and would like to buy one of these for mine. A friend of mine sent me this pic.
