Hi Guys,
I needed a single nose mount tube for a future runner. I'm sure you could get one from ebay or online maybe cheaper (and with MUCH less WORK), but I wanted it "now" and came up with an idea. I went to walmart and found the same diameter aluminum knitting needles (5mm diameter). So anyway, I then cut to length and drilled the necessary holes. Turned out perfect! The only thing is that I did this all by hand with a dremel, suction vice on my clothes dryer, and a full size drill, so the bit did not run the length of the tube (only about a half inch into the end). This makes them heavier than the stock tubes of course. I made 2 so that I'd have a backup. They're going on a runner with dyed black parts so the purple chrome color will be fine. Pics below....

Nice fine, let us know how it holds up.
This K&S tubing is a perfect fit as well:

Oh man, that would have saved a ton of anxiety while drilling that center hole!! Well at least now I know! I was in a hurry anyway, so I had to improviseSteveK wrote:Nice fine, let us know how it holds up.

I'll post again to the thread if it does/doesn't hold up. Will probably be a while before I get it in a car, but when I do...it's going to be a pure basher so it should be a good testing situation.
