Yes I knew what I was getting I was just wondering if anyone had anymore info on it, the auction said these conversions were pre the RC10T

Cool man, I was just kidding around I knew you'd have read it. I don't know if you are still after RC10T info or not though....

Here is a thread discussing how when first released the RC10T had slim front wheels due to the undefined nature of stadium trucks at that time...

The RC10T and RC10 were released when a lot of the standardisation we now appreciate within RC wasn't around and people were still trying out ideas. Before the bespoke stadium trucks like the RC10T arrived a few manufacturers e.g. Andy's, A&L, CRP, etc... released after market truck conversion kits to add to existing buggies to get that truck look with the buggy's performance.

I had an andy's conversion way back when,, those were pretty fun with the way they handled which was very much like a big lifted pickup truck!

and if anyone's interested I have some of the andys body mounts from that kit,, they are pretty used,, but if someone wanted to make a truck conversion bashers you can have them.

Here it is, not quite as described I don't feel (sellers rating 9.5 out of 10) but I think I still got it for a good price. What is it with me at the moment buying all these extra holes So what's this one been for then

That hole is to access the servo saver screw. That's a common modification, you see it all the time. I don't think it takes much away from the truck at all, if anything it adds to it in my book, makes it look like a real racer.

Oh, and for $80 I'd say you got a damn good deal. That thing is sweet, it's got some good parts and looks nice and clean, not abused.

Great kit. Honestly, that conversion and the JG were THE original race trucks for off road racing, and pre-dated the RC10T by a few years. Proline jumped in with one later, but that Andy's and JG kits were the kits to have if you were a racer.

Seriously, to me, that thing has FAR more history, rarity and value than a generic kit-bought RC10T. Especially with the Andy's body intact and still in really good shape. Always loved AJ's simple but attractive paint jobs.

MUCH cooler than an RC10T. I had a converted JRX2 back in the day. The early days of stadium truck racing were a total blast.

Thanks chaps, I'm still learning a great deal about these cars from you guys and enjoying it. For my ignorance I do seem to be making the odd good deal totally by chance (I dare not tell you what my max bid was on this ) . Anyway this is the last of the trucks I will be adding to my collection (unless I find the right runner T3 )

For those of you that do not want to click the link, that is an alloy bell crank set for $61. Are you kidding me? Wow this stuff is getting pricey. Glad I have 2 already, I can't afford that.

Then again, we all need to take whatever "thatstuffinthebasement" bids auctions up to with a grain of salt. He seems to be a bit of a tool when it comes to vintage parts and the price he pays for things.
