Re: My Box Art replicas of the RC10
i think he did the rc10 ad with jammin' jay and the trophy girl, too. the one where it's supposed to look like they're standing next to a full size rc10.

Re: My Box Art replicas of the RC10
I found all of his info already and have emailed him directly. Let's wait and see what his reply might be.
I had removed his earlier link in the hope he wasn't bombarded by emails. Might want to remove it to get his help vs make him go into seclusion due to it.

Re: My Box Art replicas of the RC10
Are you trying to get me killed rctenracer?!
Haha!
This one might have to be done in secret as wife might have a heart attack.
All joking aside, that would be a very tough and expensive one even more than the Boxter Replica, and let me tell you the boxter is an extremely expensive project if anyone wanted to try and make one like mine or even better than the one I have put together with the help of friends and workers. It's ridiculous the amount of money, resources and time needed to get a replica made.
I have been trying to acquire two Novak servos to try and get going, but so far I have found none. I already have the front wheels and tires, the rear wheels and tires, the shocks, but the servos are tough to find.

Haha!

Re: My Box Art replicas of the RC10
OK, just an FYI to all, if anyone can help me out.
I am starting also to collect the parts for that original 1st RC10 build that rctenracer has posted. One awesome member here has already donated one Novak servo to that effort, and I just wanted to thank him from the bottom of my heart. I need one more Novak servo and then I believe I have enough of the rest of the items overall that I will need to attempt that car. The chassis with no-holes in it, now I may have to do some more "home computer" favors for my welder once he sees what that entails.
My machinist is gonna kill me, I already know that.
Anyone have one of those old motors with the red label? If not, I'll have a label made and stick it on one of my old motors.
Just looked over the entire pdf in detail, looks like my rear tires are not those. I have the fronts with the rims (both brand new in bag), so if anyone has that style of rear tire as the pdf link above that rctenracer posted, give me a pm.
Thanks!

Re: My Box Art replicas of the RC10
Thanks Mike regarding the motor, I am certain I have another one to swap out with you for this build.
As for a body, what do the members here feel would be a good body for the "1st Original RC10" build?
Should I just put a clear Protech on it to show off the detail underneath it, or maybe if someone knows what body this is and if I can find one, as this body was on Jay's first Nationals winning car, before the 85 IFMAR World's. Anyone know what body this is? Looks like it might be an AYK lexan body of sorts. (I 1st posted this picture in the "If you could ask Gene Husting a question" thread, in Temple's forum)

Looks like Jay always liked those thin Yokomo wings.
Huge thanks to Chris for helping me on this so far as well!
