RC10 Graphite at the track...

Post by superfly »

I dont have pics but I took my RC10 Graphite to the local track ( http://www.sidsraceway.com ) for some practice and let the two local champs take turns with it. I had to install a 20 yr old servo since i broke the new one but even though it understeered these guys were flying with this car!!! The one guy, Mike, even passed a B4 down the main straight and I had to look down the drivers stand and remark "Dude you just got passed by a 20yr old car, thats gotta sting!!!" We all were laughing and I was pretty glad that the car is performing so well. All i need is some practice now :D

Bought a new Hitech 625MG BB servo today so that should just about cure the understeer...I'll get some pics up soon and I hope that the race this weekend will go well. I'll be putting the RC10 up against B4s Losi XXX's and the Kyosho RB5s...I think there are 30 registered already for 2wd open...RC10 vs the newest lipo brushless stuff available!!! Should be fun

my rc-10t based terminator conversion still domminates the track against t3's, losi's, and even evaders. using all stock suspension geometry and tranny mounted on a mid motor graphite chassis plate.

The Old RC10 ran good today at Sid's Raceway ( http://www.sidsraceway.com )...Qualified 16th out of about 40 in 2wd open. There were 4 mains of 10 drivers in each... Made the B main but the rain came before we could run the race so i was classified on my 3 qualifier heats. I was pretty happy with the car overall...the 19T spec motor had tons of power for the track and the BowTie rears were working very well. I think I'll put on the Grey Shocks and take off the gold ones. Especially the front, the .56s were a little overworked and i think with better shocks I'll handle even better. That and maybe Lipo batteries...The car feels so heavy over the bumps compared to my T4...That NiMH pack is like a brick onboard!!!

All in all though it was a very good day for the old machine...BTW a B4 finally won an A main at Sid's...The curse was broken today lol :D
