Re: Advice on a New Pickup Truck
So Toyota offered me this before i walked out..
from 30,887 they came down to $29,500
I was going to put $2,700 down
They wanted to offer me 12.99% APR
at 60 Months i would be paying $677 a month, thats INSANE for a toyota of any kind.
So they basically said they cant go any lower and i started to walk out, thanked them and they didnt stop me... no wonder toyota is doing terrible.. My credit isnt incredible but its not terrible on other hand....
guess im gonna have to loook at a GM/GMC/Chevy/Ford.. Hummer had a nice 30k base H3T too

12.99 is insane. Do you belong to a credit union? Last loan I got was 3.99% through our credit union. I like my payments less than $300 a month. I thought Toyota was having some special financing or cash back lately?

Only thing we heard this side of the popnd, was amongst the Toyota failures on Throttle and brakes, there was a brief news item, about all Tacomas being recalled for a mod to stop the Main Driveshaft falling off, might be worth researching?

I was looking at 1/4 mile times and 14.4 in the quater is no slouch for a truck. Mike, what about a used supercharged ford lightning or a harley davidson f150?Brandon G wrote:Test drive the Nissan Titan. It's a hot rod in truck's clothing.

I agree I have had mine for 6 years and not had any major problems. I have had several trucks both full size and small this one is the best one I have had by far.Brandon G wrote:Test drive the Nissan Titan. It's a hot rod in truck's clothing.

Re: Advice on a New Pickup Truck
Hands down the best truck I ever had was a 2000 Dodge Dakota quad cab 4X4 with a 5.9L and 3.92 gears, I pulled a 27' travel trailer all through upper Michigan like no tomorrow,I would still be driving it had the trans not went at 224,000 miles! At the time I thought I had gotten my moneys worth out of it and sold it plus it liked gas 12mpg and driving 100 miles a day didnt feel good on the wallet. But boy it was fun to drive.

Re: Advice on a New Pickup Truck
I have a 2006 Nissan Frontier with a lift and my wife has a 2007 Tacoma...it's a toss up. The Frontier has more power, the Tacoma has better suspension. I like them both!
I had a 2000 Tacoma in the past, loved it, but it was stolen with in 6 months.
