Re: 2010 -- VONATs -- Class Entry Discussion
If it ends up being like a week later, I should be able to make it. Or before Labor Day. Don't worry about me though, if I have to take a break this year, no problemo. But, I would like to race the Clod and Buggy Champ.

I have my son that week after so I most likely won't be then. Won't be to bad if you miss this year... I hear the Czech Republic is beautiful that time of year

Would a Kyosho Outrage be considered a "Classics Class Car"??

Just a friendly little bump.
It's now looking like I will be able to attend this year's race! Working on putting a Mr Lexan baja bug lid on my Buggy Champ right now.

Re: 2010 -- VONATs -- Class Entry Discussion
How many JRX-2s, SCHumacher, and kyosho buggies were there in 2wd last year,
Re: 2010 -- VONATs -- Class Entry Discussion
I didn't see any Kyoshos running in buggy last year. There was 1 guy running a Schumacher 2wd, I think he finished 2nd or 3rd. There were probably 5 or 6 Jrx-2s that I saw, they all looked like they ran pretty good.Soncho Ponza wrote:How many JRX-2s, SCHumacher, and kyosho buggies were there in 2wd last year,
I'm running my Junior Pro-SE in 2wd this year, junior 2 chassis with mostly Pro-SE suspension parts, I'll be running an LXT in truck too.

Re: 2010 -- VONATs -- Class Entry Discussion
Im having a tough time deciding what to build for the event I want to come race. What kind of turnout in 4wd did you have. CATS Yokes Lazers?
Re: 2010 -- VONATs -- Class Entry Discussion
4wd was one Cat, 3 yok's, 2 tamiya Supershots I think.
the heavy metal trucks and classics were the best to watch though.

Hey Melvin, I'm glad you'll be able to make it.
Mark's joinning in on the truck fun...woahhh.
Soncho P.,
4wd is going to be bigger this year, there are a couple of more 4wd entrie for these Vonats..I'll be sporting a Lazer Zx.
Classics should be also picking up quite a few entries as well.
2wd was the biggest class though...
Can't wait...

Would a Thunder King be heavy metal?

Scott- by the way, I hope the fact that you can make it does not mean that your other plans fell through. It sounded like a great opportunity.

The preceding contained opinions, beliefs and thoughts that all may not agree with. No offense was intended at any point. Carry on.

Look at me, getting ready early this year!! One car ready, the truck will be ready by the time the shell gets back from the painter's.

Re: 2010 -- VONATs -- Class Entry Discussion
I don't think you can go wrong with any of the classes at this point. Every year it gains steam and more entries show up. Should be even better this year.
Glad you will make it after all Scott! Can't wait to see an SRB type buggy on the track!
I still plan on the following:
2wd: Ultima Pro
2wd truck: JRXT
Heavy metal: King Cab
First time for me running a truck at the vonats. Should be interesting! I am curious what kind of gear ratio I will need to run in the King Cab with BL. I ordered a Robinson spur/cluster gear so I will be able to use 48p pinions and spurs so maybe I wont be too limited in gear selection. Does anybody on here know what the ratio is with these trannies? As usual I have nothing ready to go just yet.
