First:
I always forget to start a thread about a build until it's almost done. So here are some pics of my almost completed gold pan runner.

Nothing much. A&L Steering, Proline wheels, AE 6873 tires front, AE 6823 tires rear, ball bearings throughout, JG front bumper.

What I think came out real well (for a runner) is the Chassis. when I got it it was painted blue. Then I painted black over the blue. Well one day I decided to try some stripper from work and well, I think the Gold looks better
Also the wheels were painted gold when I got them. So I used that same stripper on them with great results.I'm going to run a Orion Method 17x2 motor, but leave the Mamba ESC in there so I can switch to brushless whenever I want to. I just need to install the electronics, paint a body and this thing is good to go.

I layed out some parts that I was thinking about using. I wanted to go with a Pink/Black theme but I'm not sure if I'm going to use all of them
I know for sure the Steering, Viper Body and Team shocks. ... But after I started to clean up the parts I decided I want to do something different with the front suspension but haven't decided yet. And I don't like the way the front shock tower turned out, I might go with fiberglass or composite towers.

Well I test fitted an Idea that I was toying with. This is a very rough test fitting...
I got the truck arms mounted on the Buggy arm mounts. This makes it way wider than the stock buggy setup and about 1/4" wider (axle to axle) than a stock truck setup

This was a very rough test fitting. I still have to clean all the parts and work out the kinks. The red shock springs are way too much, and I still don't like the way the front shock tower came out... a re-design may be needed...

What 'Truck arms" are those-- the original RC10T arms?

I'd like to try something similar on the Fun Buggy-- where did you get them, please?

rears are T2, fronts are off a 10T. The only thing I have left to figure out is the steering linkage and rear shock setup

T2 and 10T arms have the same dimensions, the T2 arms were just a slimmer design. Eventually the GT came with them as well. Those fronts look like T2 arms too.

As far as I know the 10B & 10T rear blocks are the same, I'm using the 10T's. The front blocks for the buggy are smaller than the 10T's arms so you will have to use a spacer on the front of the hing pins.

Those fronts look like T2 arms too.

That's what I thought, but either way they are practically the same demensions... I think.

Yup, the T2 was really a very mild variation of the 10T; the only different parts were the chassis tub, tranny, and rear bulkhead. The entire front end except for the bellcranks was exactly the same, the suspension arms have the same dimensions, and the 3/16" rear axles will fit the 10T if the change the bearings. The angle of the rear shocks was different too.
