Ultima conversions

Post by walfre »

Hi guys!

Pretty new to this forum, and I got some interesting projects going on that I'll try to post this weekend.
I stumbled over rc10talk while searching the entire planet to gather Hot Trick parts to complete my Red Ultima, and when I realized how much info you guys sit on browsing these forums I thought I was in heaven! :-)
Back to topic.
Can you help me compile a list of known Ultima conversions? Buggy, MT, oval etc.
I start with:
Hot Trick Red Ultima
Allec & Lane

Thanks for all your help!

I know of a few truck conversions:

JG
Proline
CRP
RPM (made monster truck wheel adapters)

I think Bolink made a sprint car conversion at one time.

There was a company that made a (gear box class) pan car chassis...but I can't remember who made it.
Projects and shelfers:
Late Edinger, RC10B2, Dual Sport, GT, Kyosho Turbo Ultima, Triumph, Tamiya Sand Scorcher, Blackfoot/Monster Beetle, '67 Beetle, Nikko Rhino, Traxxas Fiero, Slash, Hand-built Dune Buggy..all on here somewhere...

Bullet Rracing Products did a trailing arm version, buggy.

Ofcourse kyosho did several versions too: some streetcars (wide), stadium race truck , 'monster' truck, sideways sprint car...
ooh right,, BBT also did sprint conversions

Hehe.. Now I know that. Or, I knew that already.. Good to find home.
Does anyone know the Hot Trick history?
When they started, when they stopped. Who was it behind the red?
