Never seen them ever! I know Reggie says that kit was built NIB, but I wonder if the front tires were swapped before the kit was built? Do we have any other proof from any other NIB kits with this front tire? I would love to know!

Interesting! What were they called and who made them? AYK? Did AE run out of the other ones? I wonder :? ?

I will edit my post on the Edinger. Thanks for the update, but I sure would love to know more about these tires!

proline made them, but the proline name wasn't on the sidewall. you could also buy them separately as an optional tire in an associated package (don't remember the part number off hand). if you look in one of the parts/price list that came in the kits, you'll find them listed there.

the ones proline made to sell for themselves had proline on the sidewall.

x2. A bit of experimentation and variation as far a the tires from the E factory makes sense. I remember that early on, few bothered to run the AYK rubber at all, and immediately went with the adapter rings and some Holiday Buggy type softer rear spikes, and a favorite Tamiya type front right out of the box. I still have my Good Years that I can't remember if I ever ran.

D Smith- you got Prolines at the rear too? Interesting

Hey Rod,
I just picked up a late Edinger (still rubber stamped box sides) that has those Pro-line fronts and "standard short arm era" rear spikes but with no "Team Associated" on the side walls.
Tires, solid spring cups, Edinger address motor and box are about the only signs that it is a 1985.

Hey Slotcarrod, I saw you mentioned about some boxes being Edinger but having Cadillac features well I have an Edinger 6010 box, label is glued on and has the ROAR and ORRCA Champion printed on the front but all my parts are all the features of Cadillac that you mentioned and the gold is that darker color. Was the kit I bought a transition that was in progress or what? Just so interested in this topic! Great Write-up!

Same here!..... Evidence points to a late 86 - early Cadillac car (parts price list as scanned on the previous page of this thread) But the Edinger addressed/Roar & ORRCA printed box has the glued-on printed label :)

Edinger address on box with a glued label? Neat! I would say a very late Edinger for sure. I would love a picture of that label, box and car!
