My JRX-T resto/hop-up project update 4/28
Back in the early 90's I had the original 2 losi Vehicles, the JRX-2 and JRX-t. I raced a little locally, but got out of the hobby for a while during school. I sold all my old rc in 1999, and picked the hobby up again a couple years later.
In may of 2006 I was at a friends backyard track, and spotted a JRX-t. Someone he worked with spotted it in the trash and brought it to him knowing he liked rc's. Except for rust on all lthe metal parts, it was in fantastic condition. the plastic parts looked like they were never used. There was no body and a few missing plastic parts. I asked about it and he gave it to me to rebuild. I bid on 'a few' ebay auctions to get the missing pieces, and wound up with 2 tackle boxes of parts, some nip, some used, 5 rolling chassis, some radio gear, and a whole lotta evil stares from the wife.
I put together the best parts from all that I accumulated into this truck. There are lots of parts I could not afford in 1992, being only 16 at the time. I sold off a lot of the spares and excess to continue to fund the project.
This truck is equipped with:
Parma stadium truck body (never run, but has enough shelf wear to look like it had been used)
Proline MT wheels wide bearing spacing
Proline long front axles specific to above wheels
Proline front/rear tires
RPM front arms wide truck version
RPM front Spindles
RPM heavy duty front carriers
RPM steering bellcrank
RPM Long Ball cups
RPM lower spring cups(older style, smaller diameter)
RPM shock rod ends
RPM Delrin 1/4" pivot balls for shock ends
RPM upper shock mounts
RPM dual stage shock pistons
RPM rear a-arms, xtra wide
RPM rear hub carriers
RPM outdrives
RPM gear cover dyeable
RPM nylon nuts
RPM servo mount
RPM heavy duty side bulkhead for 5-link(to protect/attach the RX)
RPM rear hinge pin carrier/anti squat block
RPM snap-tite body savers
MIP gold shock shafts
MIP rebuildable aluminum shock carts up front
SRS(scale racing sports) rebuildable shock cartridges rear
tecnacraft titanium turnbuckles throughout
Tecnacraft aluminum upper shock mount screws
Losi pro rear shock tower
Losi super slider driveshafts
JG long front shock tower
Bolink Aluminum ball studs throughout
Robinson racing Spur gear adapter
Robinson Machined spur
Litespeed heatsink motor mount
Pure-tech Velcro battery strap with mount
Tekin mini Rx
Trinity Vintage Mod motor(No Idea on the turns)
Trinity 1400SCR red sanyo NiCd stick pack
Novak T-4 ESC
Aluminum ESC plate(?make)
It's not exactly a perfect paint job or resto, as some of the hop-ups were used. but it is about how it would have looked if I had the money back then to build it up(the sad part is my paint skills really haven't improved much in 14 years) Thanks for looking!

it apears that rpm did make different width front and rear a-arms
after they told me they did not
jason[scr8p]picked up a pair of fronts 1/4" wider than mine and now it looks like the rears you have[anthony] have truck marked right on the a-arm
mine do not. anthony, could you possibly get me a measurement from pin to pin?
awsome truck
thanks..........scot.

SRS(scale racing sports) rebuildable shock cartridges are in the rear. They are white delrin units that use the guts from bottom load AE shocks.Asso_man! wrote:very nice Truck and hop-ups, what are the rear shock cartridges? Did Losi made some white ones?
Yup, I cut it out myself. it's a parma. I have the part number somewhere I'll post it if I can find it.jeroen206 wrote:is that a Parma shell ?
I can get measurements tonight. I have a good used set listed at ebay now with a complete rear end suspension setup.tulsa wrote:it apears that rpm did make different width front and rear a-arms after they told me they did not jason[scr8p]picked up a pair of fronts 1/4" wider than mine and now it looks like the rears you have[anthony] have truck marked right on the a-arm mine do not. anthony, could you possibly get me a measurement from pin to pin?

I agree! It has a "coolness factor" that is off the charts.MelvinsArmy wrote:All this technical mumbo-jumbo talk. Let's bring this topic back on course.![]()
That JRX-T KICKS TOTAL ASS!!![]()
Talk about a nice trip down memory lane with that one. That thing just screams early hardcore stadium race truck. Very, very nice build man!You did it right.
