Turbo Optima

Post by mugenbulldog »

Here are some pictures of my recently completed Turbo Optima. Nothing too special, just your standard box art Turbo Optima but I made all the decals on an Alps.

Looks like you got a nice Kyosho collection, would love to see some of the others.
I like taking my picture in the sunlight with my point and shoot camera and they give nice results, you might want to try that.

so, what Alp do you have and what media did you use? they look good. :D

The Turbo Optima is the first one of the collection that is finished. I will post pictures of the rest as I complete them. I was going for a low light, artistic shot of my whole collection so that's the story behind the dark shot. I intended to keep the others "in the dark" so to speak until they're done. All I wanted to do was get my cars that I had as a kid running again. Somehow in the process I have doubled my collection...

For the decals I used an Alps MD-1000 that I purchased new many years ago. I am using clear vinyl meant for the Alps series from Papilio(?sp). I've started a write-up on my decal reproduction process, once I polish it up I will post it along with the original Optima as I've reproduced those decals as well.
