Sweet !!! If You didn't know I designed all of the items in that ad. the Cheetah was the second 1/18th scale car back then as the delta pocket rocket was the first. It was a challange to make things small back then since most all the radio gear was Huge compaired to todays. Parma also had a 1/24 Rc call the Bobcat. Both those cars had a tiny resistor speed control that also had reverse  I have one of the brassKar chassis hanging right here on the wall.

Bud-
I thought you might of have been involved in the early 1/18th scale cars but was going to wait a couple of days before asking you. I always thought that scale was cool but have never seen a real Parma Cheetah or Bobcat. Do you have any idea how many years Parma sold them?

I would say at least 3 years. It was a hard sell back then since RC was growing and most went 1/12th of off road. Most of them sold in Europe since they all ran on wood floors thats why it used the lexan fold up chassis for tons or flex.I still make and sell our 1/18th cars have had them since 1993. Actualy I'm off to race them today. Of all the things I have run 1/12, 1/10, 1/4, 1/8, 1/36 and on I have had the most FUN with the 1/18th

I have acquired both a nip bobcat and a nip cheetah and started a thread on them here:

Pretty cool cars considering the 1981 dates on the paperwork. If you have pics to add from yours, we would love to see them! I also have learned that Bolink had a 1/18 due for release but have never seen pics or heard if it actually happened. It was to be called a "desperado"

I took some pictures last night and uploaded them to photobucket but I am struggling to get them posted here. I can tell you right now my boxes and paperwork are nowhere near as clean as yours.

I've never seen the BLUE one.....THAT'S COOL!

One of mine is Copper colored with Silver stripe and the other is Yellow with Gold stripe. Just about as ugly as they sound.

I will get around to posting up some pictures but I always struggle with that.
