My first RC 10/updated
This site rocks!I finally got my first RC 10. Been wanting one for 20 years. Got it on ebay with black front arms, black shocks and cracked front wheels and nail polish painted rears with worn foam tires.Replaced the arms with new in the bag white arms.Found a decent set of rims and tires and installed them with some knock off's I found. I got the black "B" chassis for 15 bucks. It has the holes for both styles of transmissions.I want to use most of the parts from Inetrc on the black one.I love these cars.

Re: M first RC 10
your front shocks are different lengths, pull them apart and see if there are spacers inside of one. also someone drilled some camber rod holes way up on the shaock tower. Looks nice overall though.

Re: M first RC 10
I am a newb to the rc 10 world.I have been checking the threads on here and scouring the associated web site for parts listings. So what is an edinger chassis?I also plan on both cars being runners.I used the electrics out of my radiant and ran goldy the other day.It is way faster than the radiant.

Re: M first RC 10
he says the black one is a 'b' but the gold one wasn't described. An 'edinger' is where associated was located when that one was produced if it is an edinger which was common of the pale gold. I'm sure someone around here will give you more details on that though. Keep us informed on the black project.tizeye wrote:Yeah it's that pale gold but he's says it's a "B" go figure...karnivool wrote:looks like an edinger chassis

Re: M first RC 10
looks like "A" stamp gold pan going by the looks of the A arms and rims. to make it a period correct "A" stamp buggy, the front and rear shock towers and rear bulk head would need to be switched out. the front shock tower is supposed to long and pointy on the top, the rear shock tower is supposed to have one set of holes for the shocks, and the bulk head is the newer style "B" or early "C" , older ones dont have the bulk head that allow you to slide the rear A arms forward (next holes)
newer bulk heads have the slots in the back where the battery end sits.the rear tires also look like they are them sprint car tires too, on the ascot or BBT.
sweet car though.

Re: M first RC 10
The gold tub is an "A",sorry about that. The car came with a different shock tower in the front it had black chassis pieces attached.I put the white arms on and all the front rods were too long so i switched the tower out with the one in the pix. Here is a pic of what came off of it.I mounted it to the black nose so it wouldn't walk away. Thanks for all the info I will post more pix of the builds as I go.Next step is to go through the transmission and find a white case. This one is dominoed.

yeah that front shock tower on the black nose plate, thats the period correct one.the one you have on the car now is used on the B and early C stamped cars.pm me, i got a few white gear trans cases, building a all black car so id rather not dye a white one

Re: M first RC 10
I got the rims and tires as a package on ebay. The front tires were the original ribbed, the rears are are in decent shape though. The knock offs were brand new in the bag with a set of buggy lights. Oh yeah what I meant about the transmission being dominoed was it has two different color cases, one white, one black. So it is a nice two tone.I put a better pic when I start the tear down.

Re: My first RC 10/updated
Well here is what I have done so far.cleaned the tub up a bit.Installed a fresh ball bearing 6 gear,Thank you Prince Steve.New MIP cvd's and some plastic sheet to the bottom.Experimented with some b4 wheels and they slid right on to the front axles.Had to modify the rears a little but they do work. The body is going to be replaced I screwed up and cut too much in some places. The shocks still need a rebuild and the electronics will get swapped out when I get a new radio. The servo in it right now had the mounts cut off of it and is held in place with velcro and a twist tie.Thank you to everybody that helped me out.You know who you are
I know the pictures suck because I suck at taking them.
