MIP 4X4 kit for the RC10 - GAUGING INTEREST ONLY
Re: MIP 4X4 kit for the RC10 - GAUGING INTEREST ONLY
Darryn - you are the bearer of very glad tidings.....Xmas would appear to be coming early this year. I'm thinking I'm going to need at least two of the 4wd kits. One for a buggy and the other for a Monster Truck conversion....

I doubt we will see anything this side of - or even just after Christmas
, however, it is nice to know that there is a manufacturer other than Tamiya actively engaged in reliving and inviting new enthusiasts into our section of the hobby.
When things are re-released - I will be a very happy chappy, as I am sure many others will be too.
cheers

Excellent News x2!!!! I was bout to drive to Covina and ask Eustace myself what the frick is going on. Especially since I voted 5-6 times for the vintage kits. I hope he also plans on reviving the SP-1 trans. Either way Im sure I will invest deeply into whatever vintage product he produces.

This was the deciding factor when it came to puting mu NIB kit on ebay. I knew that at some point I'd get to buy a re-re kit and that was more than I could ever ask for.

Wow this is really good news, so will the conversion kit only work with the older RC10 or with the newer RC10 B4?
Re: MIP 4X4 kit for the RC10 - GAUGING INTEREST ONLY
i hope the kits are reasonable. I can't see my self paying $300-500 for a kit. I would be putting that money towards a whole new car of some sort..Any idea when prices will comeout?

Only the original RC10, not including the B2, B3, B4.Funkymojo wrote:Wow this is really good news, so will the conversion kit only work with the older RC10 or with the newer RC10 B4?

That's great news. I have an RC10 that I didn't know what to do with it. It'll make the perfect donor car for the conversion

Re: MIP 4X4 kit for the RC10 - GAUGING INTEREST ONLY
I'd bet more around $200. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Legends kit consists of an outdrive tap for a stealth trans, a 2 gear front trans, belt, an idler for the belt and a few front end components. I'd bet that E.M. probably has all the parts still in digital format so it would probably be a *relatively* trivial thing to turn out parts. Probably a bigger deal to get the parts into hobby shops...bormac wrote:The original kits usualy fetch around $1000. Not that this is what MIP are targeting but to supply a front gearbox and all the necassary hardware for a kit like this I think we are all thinking anywhere between $300-$500 is a safe bet.stampede_dude wrote:Maybe I'm missing something...carry on
