1/12 Body id help
I got this body in an eBay lot and it mounts perfectly on a 12i. Any help with body id would be greatly appreciated. McRae?

Could be but I'm not sure, I know most all Lola body shapes and this doesn't look like any I've seen.

Re: 1/12 Body id help
Kind of reminds me of a Porsche 917-10, but still not sure. Where's Temple?

It is Elfin. This body was a must for Associated 1/8 and had good bite. However, it was not as successful as TOJ in 1/12. Cannot remember if is from Assoc USA or from Yokomo japan .

Hi Al,
Is there a thread with this build?
If not you should post more pics of the chassis.
L8r,
Brian

Sorry that I am wrong, it is not the old Yokomo elfin but probably something related to the Kyosho Spada 09 series nowadays.polarbear wrote:It is Elfin. Re: 1/12 Body id help
As far as I'm concerned it is now official, a Bolink Elfin bodied RC12i with monoshock front suspension
Thanks Kent you've made my day.

Re: 1/12 Body id help
Hang on! Browsing through my old magazines I came across some new info. That body is probably a Parma Kroll, very similar to the Bolink Elfin.
Here is a photo of the Parma Kroll I used at my first big race, painted for me by ace-painter Darrell Empy in black with orange and medium blue stripes.
Enjoy the scans of the article and Parma advertisement from the July 1979 issue of Race Car World. Diggin' out the OLD stuff

Re: 1/12 Body id help
Kent is right, Parma Kroll Can Am, PN: 1218. Looking at the pic in a catalog right now. Sorry, I would have chimed in sooner, but I have been both busy at work and sick.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

That looks great hugger, the paint job looks retro and I'm all about retro!
