picked up some losi's.

Post by matthew john »

i got these in a trade with a few other cars for a mini bike motor.

the one with out a body will probably be a basher, the chassis is cut up and drilled, and the parts dont appear to be for that chassis. the chassis is the same chassy thats on the stadium truck i was looking for, think its a jrtx i was looking for .

the one with the pink body will get a good cleaning, same with the other one.

let me know what you think. also how old are these?

will post pics as i clean them up.

The one with the green shock springs on front looks like a Pro SE and the white shock springs looks like a Junior 2. I haven't seen that pink body before.

It depends. You can pick these cars up cheap on ebay usually in average to rough condition. I just picked up a Losi for $5.54. Not sure how it'll look when it gets here. I have some new built and/or restored ones that are worth quite a bit to me at least. I'd say that those would make good runners from the photos. I'd clean them up good and put them on the track if they were mine. The good thing is that you can get bodies that'll fit them now.

Do they all say losi on them? The one with the white springs looks like a traxxas. Or at least the shock towers are very traxxas like. Maybe a late gen trx1 or something.

Yeah the green front spring car is a XX.

The barf colored buggy is a Junior 2.

The last one looks like a JRX Pro SE with a Composite Craft chassis.

The good thing about what you have is that bodies are available, and replacement parts come relatively cheap. And the Losi's always clean up better than Associated's due to the black plastic. The zip tie fiesta on the last one might have me a little worried though. Proper wheels and tires would have these looking good. Dont toss the white painted black 5 spokes on the Junior 2. Do youe best to strip the paint on them cause these as a complete set are very hard to find.

No the Pink car looks like a standerd XX, the splatered painted one is a junior 2 its looks like its only missing the top brace, and the Jrxt is a miss matched mess (sorry) it is a Pro,T chassis pro se front and rear H buggy arms, se shocks also, looks like someone had a Pro se and a T chassis and combind them. nice haul though I would clean them up and run or shelf them it would be easy either way. you got a good deal.

ill post some pics of this car tore down, some one used long associated screws to hold it together, and zip ties. lotta holes drilled. think i can make it a runner, or a shelfer till i can find me a better one.

whats the truck in the vid, he has 4 different names on the title

Matt, try Nitro fuel for stripping the paint off the bodies. I've had mixed results and it's a pain in the neck. If the body is not rare it makes sense just to get a new one usually.

Soak the wheels in acetone overnight. It'll remove the superglue and the paint.

this is the car that had the orange barf colored body on it. the rims on it look as if some one took a permanent marker to them. other than that , these cars look like they got potential. even the mix match parts one.
