MIP bones

installing a set of MIP bones in a jrx-2 and the directions say that i don't need the black spacer...it just seems to loose w/o them...has anybody else experienced this same problem?

Do you mean the black plastic spacer that usually goes between the outdrive and the bearing?
That is not needed, and I am pretty sure it will not fit even if you were to try it.
Make sure that the slot in the metal outdrive is properly seated in the gear. There should be minimal side to side play when the screw is fully tightened.

the spacer fits...i had that screw pretty tight and there was a whole bunch of side to side play...only problem is i broke one taking it off the old outdrive ...oh well another excuse to buy something

take out the spacer and run the screw in the gear as far as it will go. back it out and then put the cup on and tighten it down its hard sometimes to hold the gear but when its seated all the way it will be fine.
