Come on guys it's obvious why the holes are in the chassis ..durr.. they fly better like that ..you know...off jumps and stuff...there is less wind resistance because the air doesn't have to go around the tub it just goes through it..but of course you can't run it with a body because it would then defeat the whole purpose of havin the holes...

I think that if you drilled a few 1/2 " holes maybe 20 or so and you dimple died them you could make it lighter and just as strong. Doing the dimple died to the hole like on any offroad race car or truck makes the flat panel very ridgid. I don't think you could swiiss chees one and do it but a few would be effective and could look cool aswell. The only thing is on the bottom of the chassis you will want the dimple facing up so iot won't scoop dirt but the you need to place them right not to effect you electronics or battery layout for a flat mounting surface. Just a thought. I build real 1to1 baja type vehicles and dimple dies are your freind.

i figured i better toss my entry up here.

nose plate... has has the back shaved off and can no longer be used for the longer truck wheelbase. now it's a worlds car only nose.

motor plate... has had minor surgery to lighten it slightly.

chassis... 30 half inch holes added, sides cut down to half inch, rear narrowed for rpm worlds wide arm kit, inline battery holes drilled and countersunk.

and as if that didn't look hot enough a fresh coat of bubble gum pink powder was laid down.
