does anyone know the time line and history for these old 1/8 scale on road nitro cars???
i got a rc500 im restoring, and i have no idea what to do next, i was thinking dye the parts red and black, but kinda lost.
ive never seen another rc500 except for mine. also did the rc500 have a chain drive or belt drive??
mine has a belt drive, but it looks like a mod???
if you got a 2wd rc500 , post your pics here plz........i need to see what others look like so i can get an idea of how to do mine.

Re: any info on rc500??
the 2wd version was offered as a full kit and as a conversion for the 4wd model. anyway here's the parts catalog i posted a while back.

its looking like the rc500 was indeed a belt drive setup looking at the catalog.

Early Rc500's were chain drive and a belt drive was developed later.

I'll get some pics of the track owner's RC500 this weekend when I go to practice. He won't sell it though

I sure would like to know how far you have to look to find one. His looks good it's nice not to have to use your x-ray powers to see through a sealed kit box LOL!mrlexan wrote:That's cause you don't look far enough.Prince Steve wrote:( Frankly I have never seen another like mine as a matter of fact)
