Hi all

I cannot seem to locate a diff cover for my 6 gear tranny so will any of the later covers fit without too much modding?

Yes, "Ken", they will fit without any trouble--unless you have B2/B3?b4 covers--then only the top hole will match

Ok i Know a Ball diff is great and is standard on the top line kits.

I have been racing since 85 when ball diffs were very limited to the best of the best as standard equipment.

I think it also depends on how technical the track is. The gear diff is heavier which means more rotational mass. People spend quite a bit of money to lighten every part of the drivetrain. If you need a lot of quick throttle commands a gear diff...

So I've got an RC10GT with a stock ball diff. For some reason I've had bad luck with this diff over the years. It seems to slip under brushless power, and when I tighten it down to the point of not slipping, it gets crunchy fast and breaks the diff...

Dang I’m running a 4.5t Novak Velociti brushless on my stealth 2:25 with a fixed gear hub, am I on borrowed time with my RC10DS?

Is there some trick to get the diff gear off the diff tube. I have a bushing in there I'd like to replace with a bearing, but I can't seem to get the thing apart. Anyone have suggestions?

get a big pair of wire cutters, the cutting jaws are angled, so you put the jaws open end facing the gear and a little squeeze and the gear pops right off. I know this is an old thread. But still a good tip.

So after looking on several sites, it seems like most gear covers for the rc10 t4 / b4 / sc10 can work on each other. I've also seen that while only using 1 screw, you can still mount a b4 gear cover on the old rc10.

My question now is why couldnt...

just a few more notes. It doesnt have very much clearance for a thick slipper. I dont think anything beyond the basic b4 slipper will fit. The 6 gear and stealth ones do fit but there is very little free room.

another note is im not sure which...

On the Raider, Rocky & Turbo Rocky, the rear gearbox cover is aluminum to act as a heatsink for the manual speed control's resister. I had a factory Kyosho black plastic cover that did not have the resister mounts but no longer have it. Anyone know...

hi does any of the trans covers fit the original rc10 champ car im running a stealth diff if that makes any difference. i have seen about 10 cover son ebay.com but they all say rc10 B4 etc. only one sya rc10 vintage but he's being an ass and not...
