spektrum 2.4 tx/rx question
Allright newage electronic gurus...Had this question come up to me and was wondering if you guys might know right off hand. I believe hitec has put out a cheap 2.4 radio setup and was wondering if the receivers would work with a spektrum radio. I don't think they will but thought it was worth askin since the receivers are only about $30 instead of $70.
Along those lines I also have a losi slider that came with a 2.4 spektrum built radio. You think the spektrum recievers that come with those radios would work with a spektrum ds2/3 radios? Same reasoning anyway.
Thanx in advance.
Todd

Re: spektrum 2.4 tx/rx question
The Losi receivers work with all Spektrum transmitters. The Losi transmitters work with the Spektrum DSM receivers, but not the DSM2 ones. See the chart at the bottom of this page:

Don't know about the Hitec, but I doubt it. In general 2.4 stuff doesn't mix and match, other than the Losi-Spektrum connection, same company.

Re: spektrum 2.4 tx/rx question
at this point basically nobodys 2.4 works with anybody else's
the 2 exceptions are
Nomadio react with beta software can use original spektrum rx(not DSM2)
Spektrum TX/RX are compatable with Losi because they make them for losi (both have the same parent company, Horizon hobby)

Re: spektrum 2.4 tx/rx question
aconsola, the Nomadio with a Spektrum DSM receiver, does that need to be rebinded every time, or does the beta software solve that? Or have I heard wrong to begin with?

Re: spektrum 2.4 tx/rx question
Looks like the Hitec uses the frequency hopping approach, Spektrum stays on one set of channels. Meaning they almost positively do not work and play well together.
