site signup is easy enough. The snag I hit is that to register for a race you have to add a vehicle to your profile to attach to the specific race you are registering for. The only old-school car listed in 1/10 electric is the grasshopper. using whatever is close (xxx for a jrx-2, xxxt for a jrxt, b4 for an rc-10 you get the idea) is one way around it, but if you plan on using the car info that would be a bad thing.

what do you suggest?

I just put the cars description in the "Car's Name"

For example:
Name: Losi XX
Model: Losi XXXcr...

Confusing isn't it....

So the rcsignup doohicky has all the qualifiers listed for saturday while the first page of this thread has 3 rounds listed for sunday morning. Anyone know which suit we'll follow? I only ask because I have to cut out by 3 or 4 on Saturday and if there's no bump-ups, the whole weekend might be a washout for me. :(

Yeah Freddy, I was there.....pretty much only in spirit as my vehicle and skills were very lacking.
I was just hoping for at least one or two rounds of quals on Sunday. I have to play chef for a private party for some very very very very rich people on Saturday night so I'll probably miss all the fun on Saturday afternoon.
I'm only slightly worried about it at this point as I have invested much time, effort and money into 4 different vintage rides for this year.

Anyone have contact info on Erich or know if he'll be at RCHR tomorrow?

The event will be run according to the flyer...http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=10492

1 round on Saturday, 3 rounds on Sunday

when you fill out the event form on RCSignup.com, it only asks how many rounds of qualifying and when they start. I didn't see any way to specify that 1 round would be on Saturday and 3 rounds would be on Sunday...I'll see what I can do to clarify that...maybe only be able to in the comments section.

Another opportunity for some abuse from you folks, but I am not 100% committed to going.

I got an message from my property manager in Michigan saying that I need to replace my AC unit at my Michigan house. It's going to set me back $2000, not too mention my summery taxes are due by the 25th for a little over the same amount. Also, the wife plan vacae immediately after the nationals and I can't tell her to cancel, or will risk divorce. With the wife working less hours and her having no steady pay check I am having a hard time swallowing the cost. The good news, I checked airlines prices yesterday and they were under $200. At this point, I am just unsure. I really do want to go.

Let the abuse begin.

So who else is signing up on rcsignup.com??

So far we only have 5 entries in 2wd, 3 entries in truck, 2 in classic, one in heavy metal, and 2 in 4wd....

let's get to it people...

Jay,

We'll try our best to bring you some sort of presentable event footage and coverage... :D

Freddy- I have a reason for not registering: I have NOTHING ready yet. I'm still trying to decide if I want to run 2 or 3 classes and how many buggies will be running by then.
I tore down my Hotshot two weeks after last year's race and it is still sitting in a tote in bits.
My 2wd will probably be the Rad2 but I need to try a better motor in it-- when I tried it with the stock XL1 and silver can it was a dog. It's only had 3 laps at the local track. The RC10 will be packed as a backup-- my supply of vintage Traxxas parts is very limited.
Classic could be the kids' Frog or one of the Grasshoppers or maybe even a Marui Samurai (what class would that thing be in??)-- but same deal.... nothing is together!!

Once the kids are back in school I will have some free evenings. I hope.
