I spoke with him again about DVD availability. He said he still had some of the DVDs left. He agreed to sell the DVDs through me. I am not keeping track of the inventory (they're in his house, not mine), so I wouldn't use the Buy/Sell section. You'll have to PM me and I'll give you all the info that way. We'll see how this process works and refine it from there. No charge for asking!

Steve, thanks so much for asking Gene, this may be our last chance to get these videos and all the history is there and in some respects it is priceless. Maybe we can help deplete the stock that Gene still has, personally I would rather buy from him as he's the guy that lived it.

I'd like to know anything and everything about this kit if at all possible. Year? etc.? Was it offered as seen, partially built? Who was Jim Kirby of Competition bodies? Read through the thread as I have mentioned a couple of other questions. No need to post here, feel free to post on the above thread with answers.

I'd actually like to paint the Ti22 body just like your dad's as a tribute. Does your dad have any color pics? I have seen a few on the CDs, but having to refer back to the tube is difficult.

Nonetheless, this is probably my single most "holy grail" that I have in my collection.

I used a screen capture program called Snag-it to get the pictures that I have posted. Here's the one with Gene's car #77 right up front. Not great but gives you an idea of the paint scheme.

I'm afraid my Dad did not have anything to do with the car. Roger Curtis probably designed it. My Dad's design was the RC100. I know he specifically did not like the RC1 and did not want to race it - he liked his RC100 much better.

Can you be specific about what you mean by "early" cars? Do you mean a nice round number like 5,000-10,000 for all of them?

Anodizing is an inexact process. That is, the anodizing is not consistent - you get pale and rich colors in the same batch. The pale batches were not numbered.
