Re: Got ahold of Vans Invent (Dahms)
NICE! I think it would awesome if they get made. Im all about the Thriller body and some of the "SUV" looking bodies. I liked the looks of the Dahms shells.
LOL @ Jason I somehow envision the car losing all sense of being a "car" ,"Truck" or "Buggy" and looking like a 3/4 basketball that will just roll onto its wheels any time it ends upside down.

Re: Got ahold of Vans Invent (Dahms)
Just recieved this email
Sir/mam,
Vans Invent inc is back to making bodies, but is limited to times and days per month. We no longer except credit cards or checks. We may perhaps start using paypal, but will only except payments through western union. We are expecting our website to be back up in the near future, but for now we are only making bodies on a limited schedule. If you or anyone you know would like to purchase bodie(s) from us please respond to the email address and we will let you know what we can do for you.
Thanks for your time,
Vans Invent, inc

It seems like the vintage body biz is growing in demand. It is nice to see some of the old bodies available again. A couple years ago it was hard to find a nice body, much less a clear new one. Now they are all over ebay and other sites like this one. Nothing will make a vintage ride look better than a new lid.

Any news on this. Dude at Vans seems pretty flaky.
I did not always win every race. But I always had the best looking truck!
The Slammer! I think.

I also got the e-mail above on Sept 3rd. I sent a reply the next day and haven't heard squat since.

You guys must have missed the other thread where the guy from van's invent replied to the critics from this forum. It got shutdown by the admins.
I wouldn't be surprised he turned back on his steps in dismay after the reactions he got (I'm not saying they were, or were not, justified)

He stated that he wasn't happy about some of the comments made about him and his business on this forum. We asked that he not be judgemental about a few comments made as this is hobby driven forum and there are lots of good people with an strong interest in the hobby that contribute to the forum/hobby in different ways. He decided and asked that his account be removed as for the moment he would not be returning to the forum. Wrong, right or indifferent, to each his own and we have to respect his wishes.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.
