rc10t to short course truck!
rc10t to short course truck!
almost done converting my rc10t to a short course truck. i made an aluminum chassis from scratch, a little thicker than stock, and as long as an sc10. its a little heavier but that should work out good my sc10 seems too light anyways. im planning on making it possible to move battery location forward and back like the sc10 for weight placement. everything matches up great with my sc10 stuff. now all i have to make to finish it is body posts and bumpers. i tried to keep it old school style but custom with the tub chassis status. i cant wait to go out and beat new trucks with something almost 20 years old lol.
Re: rc10t to short course truck!
First off that thing is AWESOME. Second nice welds. You gotta post videos of it beating other trucks. That would be funny.

Re: rc10t to short course truck!
very nice!!. Great looking biuld. I have read that the sc10 is having some breakage problems.new is always not better I love the old school look. Why can't associated come up with something like this. what is the cost differance of stamping a chassis compaired to adding parts to a already produced kit.
stamp a green anodized chassis asscoiated seems like the national color these days

What an intro - welcome to the board!
Very nice work. I'd say someone has a bit of welding experience.
BTW, what is the wheelbase of that truck?

wheelbase is about 12 7/8'' with the suspension topped out. i added 3/4 inch over the stock chassis. also ide like to point out it is one piece vs. stock 2 piece. this will also help rigidity and screws cant come loose thus making the chassis loose.

WOW!!!
Awesome work!
I'd like to try something similar to that with a GT.
Something tells me these kind of projects are gonna get real popular!
Go out and STOMP that new plastic stuff!
