You know, now that I think about it, this wouldn't be a bad layout for the VONATs....

hmm........... i see a dirt oval. i think there should be a vintage dirt oval class added to the list. i don't care if it's called the off-road nats. if there's an oval, there should be cars going around it.

Oh yeah, John (RCHR co-owner), is a big fan of oval racing, after the 08 VONATs they added an Oval track, and based all of their off road layouts on that oval.

Gota love the dirt oval. no jumps, only one direction to turn, and I still end up upside down all the time

Re: 2009 VINTAGE OFFROAD NATIONALS OFFICIAL THREAD• SEPT 18-20TH
i WILL be bringing along an oval car. my graphite team car has been sitting on the shelf since 1994, that's when i built my raborn. i'm sure she'd like to take a couple laps.

Re: 2009 VINTAGE OFFROAD NATIONALS OFFICIAL THREAD• SEPT 18-20TH
I'll bring my DS with me for some dirt oval laps too. Might have to bring some goose bumps, the track doesn't look as hard packed as last year's pics.

You'd be surprised how good Double Dees and Holeshots hook up on this track, we usually sweep up between races, and the track is usually watered down between heats.
Some guys even run Barcodes (the losi tires in Pink compound) in 2wd and truck and they have good results.
As for the Oval,
Us locals call it "two straight aways with a crash at the end"
It sure is fun to watch....

There's something I do like, the crossover passing, when done correctly, it's an awesome sight....

Is there any chance that the shop will take online sign-ups and create a list of verified entries. A "VERIFIED PAYED ENTRY LIST" Would be nice to help me decide if I am going to attend. I Hate to be picky but if I am going to fly across the country I would like a large turn-out. I had a blast last year and have my yokomo ready! Just on the fence at the moment. Bill C.
Have a nice day!

Why not have someone from here, someone trustworthy, that might want to take on the task, of accepting payment and updating the list.
Maybe even create a sign up sheet, and a deadline to register online, then that person just sends the money and entry forms to RCHR.
I'll just sign up on Friday, and drop my stuff off at the shop.
I'll be there, God willing, the whole weekend.

Re: 2009 VINTAGE OFFROAD NATIONALS OFFICIAL THREAD• SEPT 18-20TH
Not to rain on anyone's parade but the only way I'd prepay is if it's cheaper. Nothing to do with anyone here, but I intend to be there just like I said I would last year -- maybe even on Friday this time. I will be making my hotel reservations soon. Maybe we could just post up hotel confirmations.

The preceding contained opinions, beliefs and thoughts that all may not agree with. No offense was intended at any point. Carry on.
