Re: My new driver !
Looking forward to the pics.
Have you just tried like a double sided tape to hold the Lexan on?
My wife works for the company Velcro. She has brought home Velcro that is so strong that you cannot even tear it appart, not speaking for the adhesive tho, there are different adhesives that work on different surfaces. I just asked her after reading your reply, to bring a Velcro home with a adhesive that will work well with plastics and graphite. I can probably send some samples to you if you want to test them. Right now I have like 20 yards of Velcro that will stick to wood and metals if you need any of that. Have you ever seen Metal Velcro? Cool stuff indeed..

Re: My new driver !
Did you have to trim down the front XX hubs to fit the JRX carriers?
I was going to run some XX rims on my new runner Pro SE,but the XX hubs needed trimming...Do the XXX hubs bolt right in?
I have a few sets of the Trinity XX wide track front conversions,so I'm not worrieed about losing any width.

Re: My new driver !
The XX front carrier hing pin holes need to be drilled out to 1/8 inch. The XXX hubs need to be drilled too, the XXX king pins need to be used being that the carriers are a little taller, and you want to use the carriers on the opposite sides thet are ment to be on. Such as use the left XXX carrier on the right side of the Pro. You need to do this because the ball studs point forward on the XXX and backward on the Pro. I found it to be a easy swap even tho I was going at it with no idea that it could work. I am so glad it did
like I said above, buying these carriers is like $5 compared to buying longer vintage arms that are hard to come buy.
I just installed Mr Lexans, Lexan gear cover. I will post a pic of that soon.

Re: My new driver !
Sorry fir the long delay, I just arrived home tonight (had to do some over time at work). Looks like you have a good suplier of Velcro! It is in fact the Velcro brand, the one I get is the industrial streght, and like you said it's almost impossible to get appart and the adheasive side is also very good for our application. I will post some pics soon, either later tonight or some time tomorrow so you can see exactly how I did it. I also baught a lexan gear cover from Mr. Lexan off eBay, just waiting to get mine, looks good.

Re: My new driver !
JK,
I got this JRX2 as a restoration project, and it was pretty complete when I got it. It just need a little TLC, and when I got it, it had this steering system already installed. It's a Boca Bearing steering system, funny thing is, I don't remember this even existing back in the day. I had a JRX2 when it was new, and lately I have been on a vintage kick, so I got this one to restore and run. So far I like the system, but I think I might put back the original. Here is a closer picture.

I'd be happy to dispose of that dusty, dirty, non-stock steering system for you,

Re: My new driver !
I can't say I have ever seen that steering set up before. Also by Anthony's post (Dr. Losi), I assume he hasn't either. Very cool indeed.

Re: My new driver !
I've not seen one in the flesh, but have seen them twice on ebay and in RCCA. I'll try to find one of the ads and post it whan I can.
