couple recent builds

Post by badhoopty »

made some inprovements to the lightbox and set it up again today. going to be using it alot for work related stuff here real soon and dont want it falling down on me. ;)

anyway, since i had it all set up i took some pics of a couple recent finished builds and some nicer pics of a couple cars that were in arms reach. as soon as i figure out how to get a tad more 'punch' in the contrast i plan on taking updated pics of all my rigs and replacing my old collect post.

one of the best cars ever..
great choice of black wheels and the spikey tires are perfect
now if it was only 4wd
how much would it take to take that off your hands?

Whoa. I just noticed that wood/foam core cf upper deck too. That is really weird. I remember hoopty asking if anybody knew who made that chassis and upper deck and I still have no clue.

yea, someday i'll find somebody who knows who made those chassis. i have 2 so i know there was at least a small production run done on them.

i would have to dig, but one of the guys i bought a chassis from said they were made by some dude and sold at regional events or something like that.

they are pretty much the same as the composite craft chassis, but with the trick reversed front bulk and chassis mount camber links. closest thing i've seen to the 91 stealth car.

wood, foam?

Nah, I'd guess it's kevlar.
That material was competing with carbon and glasfibre composites around those times.
Sometimes it was used together to combine the specifics of both.
(check your old raquetteball or tennis gear, you may see it mentioned there)

nice collection badh.

hoopty, the sassy is big-time. I'm on my way, I'm making it. Yeah, that was Peter Gabriel. Yeah, my next build will resemble yours. Cool wing too!
