Re: RC10T buggy thingy
thanks guys
i'm in the process of painting the gear cover to match. after painting one for the first time i now know why they are not painted more often...they are a bugger to tape up.

Re: RC10T buggy thingy
i just got this out for a test drive today...and I will be adding weights to the front end!
The fog lights got tore off in the first 10 seconds from flipping over and I eventually got tired of putting the wing back on. It's supper fast and light; i cant wait to tape the gps to it to see how fast she goes. I'm thinking of protecting the top of the shock towers since the truggy spends a fair amount of time sliding on them.
i keep on having to take the gear cover off and placing the motor back to the right position to the spur gear too. That cuts into the fun time, so I think I will go get some lock tight and apply it to the motor screws.
in one word...FANTASTIC

Re: RC10T buggy thingy
Kind of reminds me of those hill climb cars that go almost straight up a hillside with no problem. Cool car, I almost forgot to add that.

Re: RC10T buggy thingy
I remember seeing a fox with clodbuster tires in the readers ride section of an old RCCA; that was my favourie and inspiration for a long time. This reminded me of that image.vintage AE wrote:i just got this out for a test drive today...
I moticied you didn't fix the servohorn in one of the early pics: hope you cleared that before your run?

Re: RC10T buggy thingy
that would be a nice looking ride. the fox was the first real RC I have seen and with clod wheels on it would be unreal.
as to the servo horn
NO....BUT was fixed very shortly after. it cam off when i flip it over for the first time and the lights flew 10 feet away.

Re: RC10T buggy thingy
well...i liked my lights on the roof and don't like putting my wing back on every other minute so i made some wheelie skis from some left over gold pan chassis scraps kicking around. i don't know how they work yet because i'm waiting for the threadlock the completely set on the motor screws, but tomorrow i will let you know the results.

Re: RC10T buggy thingy
at home electrics have to share track with 8th scalers and they rip the hell out of the track that rig would go great on the rough stuff. running a buggy is usually no fun. Getting around the track without flipping from the ruts is the usual goal for elecs. Im liking your build
Oh no minds thinking again. I REALLY NEED TO FINISH A build INSTEAD OF STARTING ANOTHER I like this one

Re: RC10T buggy thingy
the wheelie skies works amazing. No more screwing with the wing and the lights. I got some pretty long wheelies going too. check out this short video of testing her out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytAUBJZ5hpk
And this is what happened moments later

Re: RC10T buggy thingy
I got that cvd straightened out and strapped a gps to it and got 71km/hr, which for all the americans is 44mph. Now that I've gotten a taste of brushless and Lipo I don't think I will be going back to brushed or NiCd again. It just seems rather slow and boring now. I ran my B4, brushed with a NiCd, after I ran my RC10T buggy and I thought that I could control it way to easy.

Re: RC10T buggy thingy
ah yes. Those tires are completely bald now
Does anyone know of any good tires for mainly road and a bit off-road? Can you even get 10T tires anymore or are they the same size as the T4 tires? Sorry, this is the first truck fro me so I don't know much about truck sizing.

Re: RC10T buggy thingy
I think they are the same size as the newer ones. The proline dirt hawgs are a good all around tire.
