My first set of Tecnacrafts......now fitted!!!

Post by CNA75 »

You guys wanted to see some pics with my new set of tecnacrafts fitted to my original RC10. Well, here they are....bear in mind that I haven't yet rebuilt the car (but it's still in pretty good nick), so it's far from the finished product....

I agree. Any recommendations as to which polish is best for that type of job?

I use Mothers mag polish becauase it's cheap and does a good job. There are a alot of other metal polishes like Flitz and Wenol that do a great job also. You will want want to dissasemble the wheels to polish them.

Looks great! I've been thinking of doing that paint combo myself on something, it's very Richard Petty, I love it. The wheels look great on there. I'd skip the wheel polishing myself, the natural aluminum looks more real in my opinion. Either way, it's gonna be one sharp car. Good job! 8)

Now, that is the most disappointing statement of the week. The correct statement should have referenced "Gulf". PHHHFFFT! Where's your head man?!

 BAAAHH! I'd say considering that it's a USA made dune buggy model from 1984, the Richard Petty reference is much, much, much more relevant than the 1960's Porsche.

Petty in 1983:

And, Petty was rocking that blue before the Porsche and Gulf. And, and, ask anyone who lives in the US who Richard Petty is and they'll have an answer, most likely it will include the words "the king". And, and, and, now ask anyone who lives in the US who drove the Gulf Porsche! Go back to Europe you dang hippy!

 Just playin'. Either car is an awesome machine and great inspiration. It really is the best looking RC10 I've seen in a long time. 8)
