Yes, Jake is the mystery man. His work is second to none!
I have it about 95% complete. The shiny CVD's I have are way too short, haven't finished the wheel spinners, battery tray(think metal), wing tubes, and a few other odds and ends.
Shoo-ee! That's a beast and a half! It's one of those builds where the attention to detail just makes me ashamed of any of my cars. I gotta get my priorities straight.

Thanks! Any idea where they can be found? I have a set of Sees knockoffs, but rather use something smaller. Anyone know the thread pitch of the front B4 axles?
i have a couple sets on some of my shelfers, hard to come buy, i always see the 10-32 losi sized come up but never 8-32
they also made 2 variations, the earlier ones had a solid front, and the later ones had a completely drilled through hole, guess it made it easier to tap threads going all the way through as opposed to just 3/4 of the way in.
This this is basically going to be a stock gold pan rc10 with titanium turnbuckles, stealth tranny and a few mods to lighten and a couple litlle Cliff Lett inspired mods.

Well I have a simple problem that seems to have a complex answer. My Goldpan weighs in at about 4.25-4.5 pounds and is really quite the piece to try and power. I have the aluminum chassis that has braces on the top and bottom made out of aluminum...

Yeah I got the idea when i got tired of spinning out on pavement and slamming the rear corners into the fence poles and breaking stuff.
I bought this not too long ago to mess around with. Looks like the individual started dying the white parts black and then didn't finish :? Dispite that and a few missing parts, It's in pretty decent shape for it's age. I've procured some missing...

So i went into a local Hobby Town yesterday and was talking to a kid in there about vintage stuff and he said they had got a couple of gold pan re-re's back in december but never sold them, so they were actually boxed up and going back to the...

Got a set of 20deg knuckles and inline axles in and installed. Gonna pull apart some wheels I got as well and dye some parts black and try to finish up the rear shortly. Slow progress but progress non-the-less!
So I've been acquiring parts for an old is new type of build. I want to build something that I can possible run at our local track. I've never raced before, so it should be lots of fun.
I want to incorporate as many vintage elements as I can, but...
