Re: Need an ID for a non-stock RC12LW front suspension

I don't really know. Stiffness, from the built in cross brace, or maybe weight savings. It's a hop-up from the late 80's... So it didn't really need to have a legit advantage to get made. I do know Raceco made a chassis that converted the Delta 1/12 cars to RC12i/l front suspensions, and it's possib...

Re: Hobbywing 1060 clones?

The real 1060 is also rebranded by several places, used in their RTR cars. Some other brands of esc's are also rebranded Hobbywings. But there are lots of threads and videos around about fake 1060's. The wire color seems to be one of the main giveaways. I've read that lots of people actually have go...

Re: Bandit wheel options?

I don't know about finding the correct offset. But if you figure in different hex thicknesses and different wheel offsets, you have lots of options. But I just checked, original Traxxas pin mount wheel are cheap. The original white dish wheels are $4 a set and the chrome spokes are $8 a set. The whi...

Re: Cobra 'Battery Bug'... anyone have specs?

I remember those. Mine were called Bulldogs but I'm sure they were the same. I have about a dozen, some red and some green. Give me a few minutes and I see if I can locate the instructions. Be right back... Edit, Here they are. I forgot I had blue ones as well. P1010987.JPG P1010988.JPG P1010989.JPG...

scr8p's absence

Hey guys, Just wanted to let you all know what's going on. So, as some/most of you know I restore cars with my dad at his house. Been doing that as my only job for the last 13 years or so. Well, the last few years has been rough with having quality customers that like to pay. Because of this, we've ...

Same part as far as I know, other than the originals were less chunky and more elegant compared to the re re part .

Re: RC10 graphite chassis #2: odd front end

Yep Duratax. And yes, you need to hit the very edge of the chassis with a Dremel just behind the mount screws to clearance the chassis for the arms. The chassis is also quite wide in the first third of its length so most bodies don't really fit it well there. Andies pro arrow and renegade fit it wel...

Re: RC10 graphite chassis #1: for trailing arms

That would be a houge trailing arm chassis. Same form factor as the other one as most of the aftermarket carbon chassis were laid up and fab'ed by composite craft and used roughly same routing masters.

Re: RC10 graphite chassis #2: odd front end

Here, you can see where my chassis has been clearanced. You probably don't need that much, I simply cleaned up what someone else had previously done. Screenshot_20240427_161918_Samsung Internet.jpg Here, you can see where I notched the body to clear the chassis. It looks like a lot but it really isn...
