That's the typical symptom of a broken clutch spring, siezed clutch bearing or a clutch that is shimmed too tight/wrong. It should have some end float when installed properly and should be completely free spinning. Which way do you have the shoes? Got a pic of the clutch set up? Trailing edge engage...

Then why not just buy a rustler and put that one aside?

The bandit would be stronger but the B4 would handle better albeit quite fragile in comparison. There are things you can do to improve the durability of the B4. Parts are starting to get hard to find for the B4 so I'd stick to the Bandit.

A few late night rendezvous and this is where I'm up to, just waiting on a few bits like a screw set etc to start putting it all together. So far it has cleaned up quite well and should make for a fairly tidy runner.
