Street Eliminator project “it doesn’t say you cant”
Finishing up this beast. Slightly rearranged slash 2wd with a modified version of our Factory Works chassis. The motor in the car currently is a no name 3.5t and is pretty weak. I’ll update once the Maclan drag pack motor arrives

Is it the slipper or the tires that we're hearing?

Tires- they grow pretty significantly on the hit. The wheelie bar is set so when the front tires grow it takes the weight off the rear tires so you are probably hearing some chatter from that as well. On the last couple runs I took out some power and it helped the launch a bit. Once the new motor arrives I will spend more time trying to get it set up.

Re: Street Eliminator project “it doesn’t say you cant”
Using up some DR10 front tires on the rear since they are not doing much. They are the same size as a buggy front. Some just use a stock bandit tire and wheel. On the front I have a set of DE Racing drag tires on proline wheels for the pro track suspension which offsets them in just a bit. If the front is too wide the body gets in the way when the tires grow.
As far as the chassis goes, it’s pretty much the same as what we make for our Street Eliminator chassis, but with the holes switched up a little to allow the rear suspension to be moved fore and aft to center it in the body easily, and of course the wheelie bar mounts are moved to the opposite end of the chassis. We didn’t want to mess too much with as design that works. We use rustler 4x4 heavy duty axles and steering assembly, rally front arms, and Lunsford 4mm turnbuckles. The rest is mostly just stock type parts moved around.

Yes, the mamba x allows the motor direction to be swapped and of course the motor needs to have any mechanical timing mirrored. The cheapie motor in the rig now does not have adjustable timing so I am not sure where it sits. The Maclan 5t drag pack should show up tomorrow. Hope to get some runs in if it doesn’t rain

If this works for you with a hot motor I may have to build me a FWD eliminator...........GoMachV wrote: ↑Fri Jun 12, 2020 9:00 am Yes, the mamba x allows the motor direction to be swapped and of course the motor needs to have any mechanical timing mirrored. In all seriousness though I think it would be a fun and competative class. It would take a bit more skill to get a good launch and control wheel spin to be "fast"

Very cool build. Is the wheelie bar just to help keep it going straight?
