Re: RC10L upgrade

I would say that your most limiting factor will be the handling of the car. A 10L is a very tough and durable pan car, but they severely lack adjustments for tuning, compared to modern pan cars. But with a well maintained 10L, a fresh diff and new tires, I'd say a 17.5 and a 1s would be a comfortabl...

Re: JRX2 - Restoration/modification - 5 link mid motor

I did a similar mid motor conversion on a Jrx-Pro with great success. When swapping the motor plate, a hole for the top shaft will need drilled on the opposite side, as well as an opposing hole for the diff adjustment. Which also means that the diff will be rotated 180 degrees inside the transmissio...

Re: It begins for A1003 reproduction

I’m saddened to hear that it didn’t work out. My refund came through already. Thanks for trying and putting forth the effort you did. It was a great idea, imho.

Re: RC10 Cadillac A-Stamp Restore Attempt

Please don't apologize for an extensive post. I come here for information and camaraderie. The more time I spend in here, the better. That looks like a great haul. There's almost nothing better than picking up a box of RC stuff and getting to dig through it. Keep the updates coming.

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread

Mostly interested in finding out if the Blackfoot/Lunchbox bumper is a manufactured part or homemade but if you recognize the other bits please let me know what they belong to. DSC_2378.jpg The plastic box part on the right is is a stock clodbuster battery holder. It clips into the side of the plas...

Re: Turbo Optima 2019 re-release in “boring” box art colors

Even when I build a NIB kit, it doesn't turn out this clean. Nice work!

Re: How reliable are vintage ESC

I run several vintage, brushed Novaks in my vintage race vehicles with 2 cell Lipos. With 27T stock motors, I've never had any problems at all, granted I use Lipo cutoffs, too. I've also run several with 19, 17 and even a 12T mod motor. The only problem I've had is burning up the motor brushes. Neve...

Re: Turbo Ultima rebuild

I'll second the drywall mesh tape and shoe goo. If your paint is well adhered, the mesh/shoe goo composite is almost bullet proof. Thanks, too, for posting update photos. Because of one of your photos, I just discovered that I have a Kyosho trans brace and spacers in my stash, that I've been wonderi...

Re: First one I ever had... 2019 Turbo Optima re-re build

Its funny how we can turn mole hills into mountains on our own work, but chances are, no one else would ever notice. Looks great! Better than 98% of my paint jobs.
