Re: Clodbuster Soap Opera

I started to paint the body but in true fashion I ran out of paint, and it's not like I can just pop down to the local hobby shop to get more. Re: Le Mans motor restorations

I had the 480 Gold in my Optima back in the day. It was purchased new, I had to save up a lot of money to order that from Tower Hobbies back then. And I can say it was nowhere even CLOSE to the 240SB...or even the 240S, for that matter. Weird. I don't know how an 8-minute motor could outperform a 4-...

Re: Le Mans motor restorations

The results get me little more excited to put the 480 Gold in one of the FXT's. The other one is getting a Speed Gems Ruby 16x3 because that's what I had in my old one in the '90s. Waiting on a response from RCScrewz at the moment because I sent them the info needed to create screw and bearing kits.

Re: Repro motor stickers

Thanks Derek, So the MCI look good, and the metallic background looks as it should. I will order a 480 Gold (must be bling gold!) and a Twisters (must be bling silver!). It's a shame there seems to be no alternative to MCI on this side of the Pond, as intercontinental shipping is a bit unreliable at...

Re: Le Mans motor restorations

Scored a "New" 360pt on Ebay today (wasn't cheap)☹...lucky to snipe it at 2 secs left but glad to get it to replace the bad one... If it really comes in new I probably won't run it but if it has been ran, by signs on the commutator, I will run it in the Salute and see how it compares...&q...

Re: Le Mans motor restorations

This is hilarious because that's how/why I spontaneously purchased the 240S at halftime. Had consumed a mixture of different bottles and brews throughout the day. Good note, I yet to regret it :D

Re: The Next Level: Team Losi JRX2

Just stumbled across this thread, figured I'd update it after 14 years. I own this car now, lucked into buying it a number of years ago. It lost a few decals over the years, I added a couple new ones of my own. Has some minor oxidation on the battery braids and solder. Other than that, she's still i...
