Re: My Vintage Losi 'Stash' & Build Thread *Vid added on Pg.

Added some yellow NIP wheels a while ago to my shelfer car - I think they work much better with the paint scheme than the 'hot' red ones I first fitted... Took the car out of its dust-proof bag over the Christmas break & decided to take some pics in the winter sun. http://img.photobucket.com/alb...

Re: My Vintage Losi Stash & Build Thread *Iconic Revival Upd

Here's some gratuitous shots from the weekend that have appeared on the Iconic RC Facebook page... of my cars in action :D http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v228/DerbyDan/Losi%20JRX2%20Projects/RevivalAction1_zpsc3184f47.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v228/DerbyDan/Losi%20JRX2%20Projects/Revi...

Re: My Vintage Losi Stash & Build Thread *5-Link Build No.3!

Did a little work on the JRX2 'Best of the Rest' build over the Christmas break - progress was rather slow mainly due to time consuming nature involved with rejuvenating some of the rather rusted & sorry looking parts that I'm having to cobble together to make this build possible. First off I ha...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - October 2018 ** - Winner - scr8p

I always wanted a YRF-2..... its one of the few (if not the only) chassis I still desire/want in my collection.... but it would be my intention to run/race it at my local indoor club. I've had the opportunity to buy one on a number of occasions, but for whatever reason either the time, or the car it...

Re: Losi XX Trinity Monster build

I'm a big fan of aluminum cvd bones. They are one of the best upgrades in my opinion, and I think they look great. To go along with the MIP aluminum cvd bones are these amazing Barracuda titanium outdrives. They are serious works of art. The machining finish is so impressive. Taking pictures of all...

Also the shot of the rear shock tower highlights just how neatly your trimming work is Adam!!

I note you've added the gold washers too :D

Re: Losi XXT CR Graphite Plus - Runner Build

Love this truck.... kinda reminds me of my runner XXTG+ - except you've got a lot more nice hop-up parts & an altogether more modern (& suitable) brushless set-up - I too am a little wary of running it too hard! I'm on the lookout for that MIP ballraced set-up - looks so much better that the...

Re: The Next Level: Team Losi JRX2

What a car..... just how often has this popped up of various Google image searches! I remember when the thought of vintage R/C & the endless possibilities of all the potential cars I could now own (now I could actually afford them) had popped into my mind & the realisation that there was a '...

Re: Post Pictures of your Losi Vehicles

Been too long since I've worked properly on any of my Losi R/Cs - the Losi XX got used last year at the Iconic R/C Revival meeting (the only off race meeting I got to attend last year) - It finished 4th O/A in its year group class. There's a good few Losi's hiding in boxes waiting to be worked upon ...

Re: JRX2 - The project.

Wow! What a transformation! As everyone has already said, superb work saving that chassis plate, I think most people would have discarded that to the side as a 'lost cause' I do like the paint scheme to - simple but very 'clean' & pleasing to the eye.... Early Losi's do seem to suit asym...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - November 2021 ** - Winner - Basher67

Well I am not a truck guy and so eventually this vote came down to a choice of two for me.... I have recently got hold of a red anno RC10 chassis so that build immediately grabbed my attention - they do look great and a little different in red.... but the FatCat also appealed, mainly because a very...

Re: Mardave Cobra quickie rebuild

Smart except for the metric nonsense  To be fair, most of the screws in a Mardave Cobra are self tappers.... so if you've got a bunch of spare AE or Losi M/C screws then why not, sure an upgrade from 'wood screws' The Mardave brand harks right back to the beginning of the 70s - right at ...
