Hello From Michigan
Hey everyone! I've been into RC cars my whole life. I used to hit up the coolest hobby shops with my dad in the 80's, and have fond memories of watching indoor carpet oval racing. I thought those cars were the coolest things in the world back then. We didn't have a lot, and buying one of those was o...

Re: Your favorite ESC (with photo)
I'm probably one of few here who has never raced r/c competitively, besides a small homemade track in my parent's backyard in the early-mid '90s my brother, myself and friends made. Therefore, reverse ESC's were must-haves for us youngsters. My favorite back then was the Super Rooster, so it'll alw...

RC10 Worlds Rerelease Build
Hello everyone! Here's a little teaser for my upcoming Worlds rerelease build. The car will be here tomorrow, but I still have a number of things to get before I'll be able to run it. Hoping to have it built and running by April. I'm building it to be a replica of what I ran back in 1994, which to n...

Re: Your favorite ESC (with photo)
My personal favorite from 1995 is the Novak Hammer. It never won any world championships, so it won't have the popularity of the 410's or the Cyclone, but it was awesome. I'm hoping to snag one for an upcoming build, so if anyone has one they'd be willing to part with, please let me know. :D novak-h...

Re: RC10 Worlds Rerelease Build
So I went to town a bit today. What a blast getting to this point. Really reminded me of when I last built one in 94. I have a lot to do yet. Need to align the wheels, decide on the electronics, and then recondition them. I've gathered a nice little Novak collection, but I'm still holding out for a ...

Re: RC10 Worlds Rerelease Build
Did some reconditioning to the Novak 410-HPc that I'm going to run in this build. Also mounted it and the Novak NER 2X in the chassis. Threw on some white wheels, and the body Todd did for me. I have a couple of stock motors, but I'm waiting for one of the Reedy Mr series motors I ordered to come in...

RC10 B3 Build
Hello everyone! So I'm in the middle of restoring an RC10 B3. It was only lightly run up to this point, but has a mix of parts from other cars. A lot of B2 parts, and shocks from a B4. Re: RC10 B3 Build
Pretty much got this car wrapped up. It's all original team car stuff except the RPM front bumper, rear bumper, gear cover, and the Lunsford turnbuckles. Oh, and I opted for the factory team gold shock shafts. I took it out and ran it a bit, and this thing is quick! Didn't use the Orion cells, inste...

New Build - NIB B2 Japan Export
Good morning, everyone! I ended up snagging a NIB RC10 B2! This was a Japanese export, so I'm excited to see if there are any differences from the domestic kits. I'm going to kill half of what I paid to build this thing, but I can't resist. The RC10 B2 was my second ever hobby grade kit, being gifte...

Re: New Build - NIB B2 Japan Export
Okay, here we go! Started by opening everything up to perform an inventory. Good news, everything has been accounted for. Looks like a fairly basic kit for a Japan release, with the only easy to spot difference so far being the tires. Interestingly enough, in lieu of the typical Proline Edge XTR (fr...

Re: New Build - NIB B2 Japan Export
Full transparency since that was my kit at one time. Those tires were not the official B2 kit tires. IIRC I bought it from a guy in Thailand who shipped it without F&R tires, or it was just the fronts that were missing. I'd have to dig thru messages to figure it out. When I sold it, I just toss...

Re: New Build - NIB B2 Japan Export
Listen, it's a bit of a bummer that I don't have the correct tires, but I don't regret the purchase either way. When dealing with unsealed vintage products there's always the chance that something won't be correct. The buyer certainly has some responsibility to verify what they're purchasing. I aske...
