Re: Losi Double XT CR Modern Racer

I know this forum isn't very race oriented, however this may help others that are vintage racing- We used to do this in the 2010 range to Proline Holeshot M3 tires. Diesel was the sauce of choice but the rubber would swell so much that the tire would be clapped out in three runs. Diesel isn't the sa...

Fan RC FR-01 Worlds RC10 Blue kit

I recently bought and built this Fan RC FR-01 Blue Version kit. I added the Fan RC forged carbon chassis, towers, transmission brace, and battery brace. I also added a Jconcepts motor plate. Besides the above upgrades, I built the kit basically stock. I swapped just a few pieces of hardware for alum...

Re: The RC10 4wd

PopalongRC have an interview with Craig Drescher regarding the RC10 4WD, with a very vague explanation of its history, with his own interpretation of an inline battery in his personal buggy.

Re: ** Hopelessly Incomplete Project of the Month - April 2025 **

Frankentruck wrote: Mon Apr 14, 2025 6:24 am There seems to be a high percentage of unfinished 4wd projects. Now why would that be?

Some very cool builds that are stalled.
More parts, more chances to have one missing, more "chances" to have an unfinished project, maybe?

Re: Fan RC FR-01 Worlds RC10 Blue kit

The FR-01 is a great car. I have an earlier one and only really had few complaints: Steering belcranks rubbing and coming loose if used as is (I just added spacers underneath and used longer screws to get more bite) and my earlier model had a binding issue in the gears, which they have since fixed....

Re: The RC10 4wd

I feel like the Brits go off the deep end with some of their scrutineering in these revival classes. I've said it before and I'll say it again, make rules simple, over regulating everything just makes everyone's life more annoying. Who wants to sit there teching every car? Our vintage racing here i...

Kyosho Baja Beetle

In 2001 Kyosho updated their 1/10 4wd Nitro powered Field Baja Beetle and renamed it simply, the Baja Beetle. Simplicity was one of the biggest features of the new Beetle as Kyosho equipped this latest model with their Easy Touch Start System that made firing up the new, larger, fan cooled GS15R eng...

Re: Losi Double XT CR Modern Racer

This reminds me of when we found the magic tire that was untouchable we used to grind the names and markings off the sidewalls so nobody could figure out what they were. As an old dirt oval racer, we had tons of tricks...mostly gray area stuff too. I still find speed in things like this that others...

Re: Losi Junior Pro Se

I actually have a jr2 chassis with the sides cut in my pile of spares. Kinda wish i caught tou before you shaved the sides on yours lol. Thanks for the offer. I have a few more Jr2s including a NIP in the stash, so it was a bit relaxing to cut on this one. The bottom is pretty nice, however, so not...
