Originals have "The Falcon" in the tub, at the battery tray. New ones don't, just the part number.

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - September 2023 * - Winner - RC10resto
I voted for the 33' Ford because you don't see the Parma Good Times cars often. Also, a Parma California Sport Truck (similar chassis) was my second hobby grade car.Frankentruck wrote: ↑Wed Sep 20, 2023 1:40 pm Interesting lead group in the votes, 3 very different contenders. One of them got my vote.

Re: Parma is back... sort of
I need a California Sport Truck body, but I doubt that there is much demand.

Re: So why did the RC10 lose at the IFMAR 1987 again?
The better question is what happened to Kyosho after that? The RC10 won three more Worlds, before the B2 was released.
But if you look past Johnson's dominant performance, #2-4 all had similar times.

Re: So why did the RC10 lose at the IFMAR 1987 again?
"The RC10" being used loosely here, at least for '89 and '91  Well, there wasn't any "loose" usage in 1993. Just saying. The RC10 was still getting it done, several years later. The Ultama, well wasn't. If the Ultama were truly the better car, it would have maintained i...

Re: RC10 Goldpan ESC advice
Is the diff tight? The old diff and/or slipper springs could be weak as well.
I like my diffs a little tighter than normal. It might not corner quite as well but it will be easier on the ( hard to find and kinda expensive) diff parts.

Re: The "My Current Version of My First Car" Thread
I run the original pics through my phone's remaster function. One of them cleaned up nicely.

First RC tools
What did your first RC tool set look like? Mine was one of the cheap ratcheting screwdriver/socket sets and some jewelers screwdrivers (you know the ones). I might have taken my dad's needle nose pliers as well. I got these pics from ebay, but they are a pretty close match to what I remember. Screen...

Re: Ultrasonic cleaner
I use the small Harbor Freight one as well, with 50/50 water and Simple Green Pro (the purple SG is aluminum safe).
I put small parts and hardware in a stainless mesh tea ball so that they don't scatter.

Re: Brushed motor diode/cap/???
You guys put modern radios in vintage cars? Eww. Most of my stuff still uses 27 and 75mhz AM radios. Using modern stuff just doesn't feel right. And while I do have a fairly large collection of vintage transmitters, most of my runners use a Futaba T2PL, JR XR2i, or Airtronics MX-A (also have a Kyosh...
