Re: TRX-1 hodgepodge - Bandit, Rustler, Slash gearbox parts?

These are Kyosho Turbo Scorpion (re-re) wheels.

The rears are 12mm hex.

The fronts use an 8mm (or 5/16") OD bearing.

Chewbacca wrote: Mon Dec 09, 2024 2:38 am  Ok, I stand corrected, I would have sworn, that Kyoshos are also metric, either 10 or 11mm OD.

Sorry if I mislead anyone.
Some might be, especially newer models.

My post was simply showing those particular wheels as a possible option, not calling anyone out.

Re: Spring advice

There is also the option of using different spring cups.

B4's had various spring cups that seated the spring at different heights, all higher than the early cups that Fan RC copied.

Re: Spring advice

Here is a comparison Pic. Both car have the same length shocks, same springs, and same tires. The short arms and Andy's arms mount the shock relatively the same.

The difference in spring seat height and preload is pretty evident.

Re: Here we go again.....

He used Slash rear arms, which should make the width nearly even. Sorry to side track this topic a bit, but since you mentioned it, where do the slash arms fall in width wise? I have Rustler rears and Nitro Rustler rears. Are the Slash like the Nitro Rustlers or somewhere in between? Thanks, Tony J...

Re: Receiver switch

10 4. What would necessitate a switch? Why did the old ones have one? Old setups with mechanical speed controls required another method of supplying power to the receiver and servos. Some cars used a separate battery pack to supply power, routing it through a switch. Others routed power from the ma...

Re: Finally, the official Futaba FXT thread

I was looking back through this and realized that I had never put the updated pics of mine in. R6cowboy came through with some hard to find parts and Frankentruck printed up some otherwise unobtainable parts. Thanks guys. Click on pics for better resolution. Re: RC10 T2 questions

If you are just bashing, Traxxas Slash/Rustler/Stampede front arms can be modified to fit, with just a 1/8" drill bit. Just open the outer hinge pin up to 1/8". Regular Traxxas arms are $8 a set (or free from a friend) and Traxxas HD and RPM arms are $11 a set. The Traxxas arms are about 1...

Tamiya must have used the other materials. The ones that should have been in the dumpster.

Re: STOP using photobucket / Flickr / Image shack WHATEVER here!

Since most of us use our phone for pictures, just use the gallery editor function (or screenshot).

This is from my Samsung Galaxy.

Re: Coupons and Specials

I've been running across a lot of deals on Spektrum products. I bought several 15T 540's and some 14T 550's for $9-10 each from Horizon on Amazon, along with some other discounted items. Just now, I got a couple 40 amp esc's for $8 each and a shorty lipo for $27 from Omni on Ebay. There was several ...

Re: Coupons and Specials

If you have a local Hobbytown, these are still good for a few more days.

If I had paid closer attention to my email, it could have saved me $20 last week.
