Re: RC10 Graphite team car vs RC10 Team Car any handling differences?

I have both and I think they handle basically the same, but I have not spent dedicated time driving them back to back in any scientific way with identical set-ups on a fixed course. I recall back in the day when the RC10 Graphite kits first came out (1989?), team drivers ran them for maybe a season ...

Re: RC10 Graphite team car vs RC10 Team Car any handling differences?

I would have thought the tub cars would have more flexibility thus generating more grip and being more forgiving.

konnichiwa ...cowpoke

My eyes combed every page of R/C Car Action Magazine. Devouring each word with voracious enthusiasm. I stood ambitiously in front of the glass counter of our local hobby shop gazing up at all the new racing machines, knowing with absolute certainty, the specification of every one. I am 12. Nine lett...

Re: RC10 Graphite team car vs RC10 Team Car any handling differences?

The graphite cars are lighter weight, and much lighter in the front (just less chassis material and less hardware), and have less on-power steering. The graphite likes a slightly softer suspension and it feels a little more nimble.

Re: RC10 Graphite team car vs RC10 Team Car any handling differences?

I would say the tub chassis has more flex and probably a lot bigger sweet spot for setup

What factors led to the Ultima's win at the '87 Worlds?

The title pretty much says it all. Why did Kyosho's new Ultima dominate the '87 Worlds? Was Associated too overconfident or taken by surprise? Did the track suit the Ultima's design better? Was it all just down to tires? Any thoughts?

Go see Oppenheimer

If you get a chance go to a theater and see the film Oppenheimer. I worked on the film and digital version of the movie. I don't get to choose what I work on. It always great when my efforts goes to a film like this. It's a great film and worth watching.

Re: Yokomo Super Dog Fighter (2023) by RC Magazine

I hope they follow through on this. YZ10 prices have gotten insane and it'll be great to have a supply of harder-to-find parts which don't cost my soul. Some things on my wish list for an 870 re-re: 1.) Slotted rear bulkhead mounting holes on the chassis. The Works models had this and it is crucial ...

Re: RC10B4 Blue Anodized Project

They aren't threaded like the FT shocks, but the B4 RTR had blue anodized shock bodies. Add an LRP speed control for good measure! Oh and there were blue thumbscrews for the battery strap iirc.

Losi XX4 Y2K

I built this XX4 for a friend. I wasn't too concerned about having era correct equipment, but I loosely based it on something you may see in the early 2000's. I mostly just built it to what I thought looked nice. The Hara motor is one of my favorites, and just looked too cool not to use. I made some...
