Wow Doug, that's great!! Do you think I could get away with using the inner hinge pin mounts and still have a structurally sound transmission mount? I could run the B4 screws straight through the chassis and cradle to tie all that together so maybe those lateral mounting ears wouldn't be necessary. ...

That's seriously awesome! Takes me back to when I used to drive my Mom nuts walking through Toys R Us to go down the slot car isle, BEGGING for another track. I always wanted a full size slot car track in the basement and have nothing but the old school, hand built wire framed cars running on it, us...

I just read through this whole thread. It's almost impossible to believe that you started and ended with the same car! The results you got are nothing short of amazing. I don't know if I'm more impressed with your ability to get rid of all of the super glue or your ability to machine a piece of carb...

I like how low profile the rear tower and shocks look with the cut tower personally.

Are you leaving the rear section of the body intact or chopping it off flush with the rear of the chassis?

The worlds suffered top shaft issues among other things. The aluminum 8/32 screws that came in both the kits are crap and will snap with the slightest of torque. The duck tail is not that bad once the wing comes on. Sure the cockpit is high on the Mirage.. Reminder that the rear end is high as no battery is weighing it down.
