Re: Turbo Optima Mid Special / LWB pro pics
Whenever I'm thinking of an old school paint job, I go here first to see one done really well: http://www.time-tunnel.jp/ There aren't any pro's pics I don't think...

Re: Ultima LWB
Thank you orangemazda!! I agree, it's really hard to make a separate nose plate look nice - there's always going to be a step. I was considering making the main chassis plate one-piece from aluminum but I'm more concerned about keeping the weight down than aesthetics. Of course, a molded carbon cha...

Re: Ultima Pro XL chassis length: help needed
Wow Doug, that's great!! Do you think I could get away with using the inner hinge pin mounts and still have a structurally sound transmission mount? I could run the B4 screws straight through the chassis and cradle to tie all that together so maybe those lateral mounting ears wouldn't be necessary. ...

Re: Building HO Slot Car Track
That's seriously awesome! Takes me back to when I used to drive my Mom nuts walking through Toys R Us to go down the slot car isle, BEGGING for another track. I always wanted a full size slot car track in the basement and have nothing but the old school, hand built wire framed cars running on it, us...

Re: A&L CUSTOM TEAM TRUCK #5 OF 5
There is nothing better than one-off, hand made race stuff!!! Thanks for taking us along for the ride. Now we just need to see some video of it running

Re: 4WD SRB Racer
I'm gonna be that guy to dredge up an old thread. If there was ever a custom build thread that was worth dredging up, this is one of them... I absolutely love this build! I was really hoping that by the time I got to the end of the thread, there would be a link to a video of it running   I...

Re: Mid-motor B1, B4, B6 V2
This is such a cool build  Thanks for sharing it. I was thinking about your front brace issue (which looks solved) but would you have been able to modify the aluminum chassis to accept B6 chassis rails...? Those would have mated up to the front brace and given you some added rigidity in tha...

Re: Hyperdrive H10 super glue special
I just read through this whole thread. It's almost impossible to believe that you started and ended with the same car! The results you got are nothing short of amazing. I don't know if I'm more impressed with your ability to get rid of all of the super glue or your ability to machine a piece of carb...

Re: Losi JRX Pro Build
I like how low profile the rear tower and shocks look with the cut tower personally.

Re: RC10 FF
Are you leaving the rear section of the body intact or chopping it off flush with the rear of the chassis?

Re: RC10 Classic popularity
The worlds suffered top shaft issues among other things. The aluminum 8/32 screws that came in both the kits are crap and will snap with the slightest of torque. The worlds kits lingered in stores and were eventually heavily discounted. Wow, that's brutal. I guess the takeover has done more harm th...

Re: RC10 FF
The duck tail is not that bad once the wing comes on. Sure the cockpit is high on the Mirage.. Reminder that the rear end is high as no battery is weighing it down. Sorry for poor quality on pics Yup, you're right, it fits in with the wing in place. That gets my vote, but I still wouldn't mind seei...
