I plan to start the build of my Turbo Optima Mid Special and am looking for pictures of period airbrush bodies or pro pics for inspiration regarding the paint job. Any help appreciated !

Whenever I'm thinking of an old school paint job, I go here first to see one done really well: http://www.time-tunnel.jp/ There aren't any pro's pics I don't think...

Hi all,

I've found this forum whilst looking for parts to complete my mid. I'll be building this to hopefully race in the vintage class. It's already spent far too long sitting idle. This was partially stripped down to be cleaned and built back up....

Box standard thing at the moment - but it's a special anyway :) I might want a different shock tower for very angled long shocks in the front.

I am new on the forum hi everyone
I got an old Special Custom with the gold flat aluminum or steel chassis.
I have no upper deck.
Chassis could maybe be run this way but has a bit of flex.
Can a Lazer zxr upper deck work?

Finally I got these restore projects started. I have been collecting parts since may this year and I think I have all that's needed. As my other builds, these two cars will be built by using mostly second hand parts (in great condition).

From the looks, this is the Mid with the carbon chassis? For some reason, I though the name was different. I have one, but I got it in a trade so didn't build it myself. It's been a shelf Queen it's whole life.

Well, call me greedy but now I have a Runner, Shelfer and NIB Turbo Optima Mid Special.....I think that's all I need! :lol:

Here's a pic of the runner and shelfer together, I just need to fit the roll bars and am waiting for my W-5031 rears to...

I picked up this Turbo Optima Mid Special off a local online auction site for pretty cheap.
It was sound and mostly complete,but still a little rough around the edges.
I'm pretty sure this was originally sold as a complete kit,rather than one of the...

Just lots of cleaning and detailing.
Ummm...The body,undertray,decal set from Marwan and the OTW-9 parts tree that had the battery straps and undertray mounts.

Ok i was not going to start a new build thread but i have run into some questions i can not answer lol
