Re: Getting the big Fairlane back on the road.... Going the whole 9 inches

I finally had some motivation so I installed the driveshaft. I was paranoid that it was too long but it's actually pretty good. I also filled the diff with some Torco non friction modified racing oil, so all that's left to do is bleed the rear brakes and it's drivable again, however, I'll install al...

Re: Factory Works Ten4.1 project

You really need to read up on our FAQ and parts list to get the full idea of what we did but it uses a stealth diff up front and will have, as with every 4wd, slightly less steering than a 2wd, but the same as a Kyosho optima or similar 4wd of the era. As the maker of this conversion, I can say whol...

It is super cool and tempting!
Not trying to 'sell' you on this but I'd like to add to your quote that it's super cool and worth it.

My question on another forum about the rc10 4x4 conversion led me to this site and now have the chance to build one of Jeff's kits...finally.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

I always heard wd40 is safe. Just needs a lot of time to soak Soaked it in WD for a few minutes at a time, it all finally lifted after a few goes and looks damn good now. Soaking in lighter fluid will also soften and release it. It also doesn't leave residue. Yeah, had to clean off the WD residue a...

She was thrilled to be going on a car ride at first, but I think I captured the moment she realized we were at the grooming place.

Port Jackson, Coromandel Region.
New Zealand.
This is a Government department of conservation campsite, nz$10 a night each, cold water showers and composting toilets, but can't beat the views, and a tent site on the beach.

I wandered into the "work station", gazed upon my meager collection of unfinished works, sifted through some spare goodies, sighed, and walked away.

Re: Vulgar Display Of Power (updated pics 4/3)

Wheels and tires are in relatively good shape, so I just cleaned them with a Mr. Clean eraser. I've been down the rabbit hole of replacing wheels and tires enough to know it'll have the bank on you like flies on a rib roast.

Re: Getting the big Fairlane back on the road.... Going the whole 9 inches

Not sure if I posted anything about these earlier or not but this is also something I've been working on and off for the last 10 years as well  To go along with my mag wheels and stock steel wheels/hub caps I also picked up a set of Fairlane Sportsman wheels to give myself options. I wouldn't s...
